Hence, when the tank indicator looked low and with a long drive on CA 88 was ahead of us, the Waterloo Gas & Liquor Market was the logical place to stop. One thing to note: it's on the east side in an area that can feel a little sketchy, especially late at night, so just be aware of your surroundings if you're filling up after dark. What really seals the deal for me is that it's a locally owned, family-run business. I love supporting places like that especially when they're also saving me money at the pump.

The employees are always polite and attentive to all customers. The store and restrooms are kept clean, along with the fueling stations. The store has a lot of things I like, such as Asian Cracker Combo, my favorite crackers (I can't get anywhere else). There are milkshakes, chicken, and other foods available. Nice stools to sit at the food bar. The fuel station pricing is competive with others. EZ on/off freeway access. It's a nice place to relax and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this stop station.

I decided to get off the highway to get gas before getting into Sacramento. Regular gas was $5.09 (credit/debit). It would have been $4.99 if I had cash. Anyway, $5.09 wasn't bad at all. At the Chevron station on the other side of the street, regular gas was 5.39. I love that the gas station/convenience store is literally right off the highway. Early this year they suddenly had "Out of Order" signs written on the bathroom door. But one of the employees told me they allow customers to use it, so I was still able to use their restrooms. Suddenly a few weeks ago I stopped in, filled my tank with gas, walked inside and asked to use the restroom. The cashier told me I couldn't. I asked him "Really? In the past you've allowed customers to use the restroom and I just put gas in my tank" His answer "Nope sorry, can't use it." I called the next day to inform him it's illegal to deny public restrooms because of their location, he hung up on me. I was in an accident last year that caused permanent internal organ damage and I don't feel that I need to explain it everywhere I go, but they've lost my business forever. This is ridiculous because the reality is their lazy ass employees just don't want to have to clean the restrooms. What a joke

If your into 40 oz or 32 oz beers and tall cans this is the place for you. It looks like one giant liquor store. Yes they have chips and munchies and a few other household products. They also sell white t shirts. The cigarettes are a bit high for my taste. Also during the day you can catch a taco truck out front. Alpine market also has a recycling center in the back. So during the day, you'll see a lot of traffic coming in and around the place. I don't really go there at night, if I do go, it's during the day or maybe 7 or 8 pm at the latest. The place is always clean and the staff is hella cool too. It's the same owner as El Dorado Liquor. I go to El Dorado Liquor way more than Alpine Market. I would give them five stars, but they need to carry more types of beer. Yeah, I'll sip on a King Cobra or Micky's 40 oz every now and then. But I do like other types of beer too.
