She is knowledgeable, had great suggestions and has a no nonsense, down to business way or doing things. Her expertise was much appreciated. Now for the installation... The entire crew was professional, and had an extensive understanding on the process. The workmanship is outstanding! (There was a bit of a mix up having to do with the interior color of stain, but this was due to the staining process done prior to delivery and it did NOT have anything to do with the installation crew.) Sean was onsite and oversaw the crew. His attention to detail was greatly appreciated. It was reassuring to have his skill and professional knowledge throughout the entire project. The rest of the crew, Ray, Jason, and Donald did a phenomenal job! Each and every one of them clearly take pride in what they do. They ensured each window and door was installed correctly and had a beautiful result! The excellent service didn't end when the project was over. And that's what sets the Pella Installation team apart from the rest. Sean has continued to be available and happy to answer questions that have come up. Ray came out recently to assist me with a question I had, and both Sean and Ray are still just as friendly and helpful as they were during the project. THAT is was sets them apart from the competition! I am VERY happy we chose Pella for this project!

The problem is that the stucco on the house needed to be repaired from the construction and they painted over the stucco. I am new to Santa Fe and I am unaware of how to repair stucco. The color did not match the house and I was told by the team leader that the color would blend in with the effects of the sun. My contractor who installed the patio where the door leads out, informed me that you never paint over stucco and that this looked very bad. I informed that manager, Joe who refuses to compensate me properly for this problem. I was misled and now the stucco has to be fixed by my contractor. I was only offered $150 for this problem - the project was upward of $15,000. This is bad customer service. They were paid in full.

Imagine my surprise when it rained and the leak returned. I had two window companies look at the window BEFORE the drywall was repaired and closed. Everybody said the existing window looked fine. They were wrong. Out of frustration I called Casey at Door and Window Company and he was kind enough to talk me through the issue to troubleshoot it over the phone. He decided to come take a look. It took him less than 10 minutes to discover that the leak was from coming from the window that was less than 10 years old. Not only that, but Casey also determined that the person who installed the window used the wrong window and that is why it was leaking. They installed a block frame window that was allowing water to seep right in. Casey immediately ordered a new window and came back to install it when it came in. From start to finish Casey was a pro who cares. He could have given me the same lip service the other two companies gave me but he went the extra mile to do the job correctly and I am grateful for people like Casey. Honest and professional.

From that point on communication from Window World was a bit lacking. I called them at least 2 times looking for a status, and each time the phone call concluded with a young lady saying "let me do some research and get back to you." Both of those calls were never returned. During the second week of July I contacted Lewis and let him know that we were hearing crickets from Window World. He advised that he would have the installation manager contact me the next day to give me a status report. The next day I received a call from the scheduling manager and she advised that our windows should be in on that day's truck. Long story short, we scheduled the installation for July 14th and 15th. On the morning of July 14th, the crew showed up 15 minutes early. That impressed me. They really seemed to be on the ball. Unfortunately, that momentum quickly faded as the day unfolded. Sometime around 10am the crew removed the three front windows in my living room. They replaced one and left the other two holes wide open for the rest of the day while they proceeded to change every other window in the house. They finally got back to the two gaping holes at about 4:30pm. (..By 3pm I had 10 million flies breeding in my living room and the temperature was a comfy 90 degrees..) I couldn't understand why they removed the three biggest windows in the house and then left the holes for two of them open while they changed every other window. I learned why later in the day. A very annoying part of the entire experience today was that the crew could not have cared less about closing gates. My backyard is set up with multiple gates to make sure that my dogs can't get near the street. Every time they went through any of the gates, they would leave them open. I even asked the foreman to ask his crew to make sure to close gates - because they didn't speak English - but this didn't help. Every time they went through a gate, they left it open. This happened repeatedly. Do none of them have family pets? The real kicker in all of this is that at 5:30pm I was told that the crew didn't have the correct window to fill the last gaping hole in my living room. I tried to call Lewis and went to voicemail. I tried to call Steve and went to voicemail. I called the Window World main office, and they promptly transferred me to...you guessed it...someone's voicemail. Not sure what to do now. Someone is supposed to call me back. On July 15th, after a few more calls, I finally received a return call from Window World and was told that they would need to re-order the missing window. It would take about a month "if we're lucky." I now have a 60" x 43" piece of 1/8" plywood in place of my front window. It hisses when the wind blows and I'm willing to bet it will leak if it rains. I've lived in New Mexico for 47 years and for the first time ever I'm praying that it doesn't rain. To anyone considering new windows in their home, please know that my wife and I are VERY much regretting our decision to go with Window World.
