We spent a whole year after COVID looking for a school that would work with my 2E (twice exceptional) autistic and ADHD son. Arches Academy has been everything we looked for and more! All three of my children attend now and love the interactive learning, Singapore Math, field trips, and small class settings that make for the best friends. My daughter attended arches for several years before moving on to a different school. She had an IEP that the school worked with us on and worked with my daughter so that school was a good experience for her. Letting her feel comfortable in class and learning at the same time. She was able to blossom and grow, participating in the musicals and and other activities allowing her to express herself in a safe environment. I appreciate the staff and administrators for the work they put in with my daughter. It was a blessing to me and my family. read more

Arches is a great program. I transferred my daughter out of a much more expensive school that coddled their students and she started to excel above and beyond my expectations. They have a well thought out and rich program that addresses much of what is wrong with our education system today. Class sizes are small, and the children get a lot of attention in after school care. If you are looking to give your child the foundation they need to compete with more educated counterparts from around the world, consider Arches. One caveat- the turnover of teachers is much too high. We are on our third teacher in a year. If they can get it under control, this would be a five star school. read more

Arches continues to impress. This is our 4th or 5th year (I'm losing track). They have new computers this year and are growing. My kids love the field trips and the hands on learning. They put the kids in classes at the level they are at -- not based on age. They are very thorough in their start of year evaluations of the students to make sure the kids are in the right class. Max class size is 18 (ignore the review claiming otherwise). I've seen a comment about teacher turnover and thought I'd comment on what I've seen as a parent. It's a small school and so when there is any change, it is noticeable. I don't think the change is out of the ordinary. My perspective is that Arches is not a public school and if they have an under-performing teacher and if the best solution is to replace that teacher then Arches isn't afraid of doing so. That's one of the benefits of a private school -- my child's education comes first. I think in a couple cases, they had teachers get accepted to Ivy League graduate schools back east during the summer. I want my child to have smart, high performing teachers so I'm ok with this. At public schools, if you have an under performing teacher you're stuck waiting until the next year and hoping next year's teacher is better. read more

We have love loved Arches. We are moving to California this year and wish we could take Arches with us! My boys have been there for 2 years. As a school teacher myself, I am very picky of what kind of education my children are getting. After touring several other schools, Arches was a god-send. The staff and admin are well seasoned and so kind. I can't glow enough about the principal, Ms. Warnick. My children were loved and nurtured there and the students in all grades got along great. The teachers at the school are magical. The pre-K teacher, Mrs. Ralls is brilliant, to say the least. She was a total nerd about her work, which meant she was super awesome about tailoring the curriculum to our child's abilities and weekly keeping in touch with us about his progress. The boys really enjoyed all their subject teachers as well. Wish we could stay another year! read more

Our kids have been a part of the Arches family for the past 6 years and we have loved every minute of it. The classes have all been small in size and their teachers have been exemplary. Our children have had learning opportunities that they would not have had at any other school. We have friends whose kids attend private and public schools and when we discuss and compare education experiences, they are constantly amazed at the opportunities that our kids are participating in at Arches Academy. Not only have our kids grown and excelled academically by attending Arches, but their confidence and belief in themselves has grown as well. The teachers and administration at this school truly care about every student and they go out of their way to provide unique opportunities for kids to shine. This school integrates unique teaching methods into its curriculum on every level. Teachers use Socratic, project-based and hands-on learning. The Singapore Math program has been excellent for our kids in preparing them not just for advanced math classes, but for future logic and reasoning in SAT and other college entrance exams. We can not say enough about the incredible field trip experiences that our kids have had at this school. These start as early as first grade with day-trips to museums and exhibits and culminate in middle school week-long learning opportunities that are structured to reinforce important concepts. As with any school or educational program, there are always challenges, but we feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of a school that not only listens to and involves the parents of students, but allows and encourages its students to have an active voice as well. This will be the fourth year my two kids have been attending Arches Academy. We have loved our experience here! Our kids have had the opportunity to participate in science fairs, robotics courses, beginner programming, school plays, music and drama classes, and fun art projects! Their teachers have been wonderful and communicate well with parents and the small class sizes are fantastic! Some of the grades are combined and are taught by one home room teacher, BUT those classes never get above 18 students! My oldest came into this school a bit timid and shy, but has blossomed into a confident and outgoing little leader. The kids are leveled in math and language arts according to where they are at. Both my kids are ahead in math so they attend a higher math class, but my oldest is behind in spelling and attends a lower spelling group to work on catching up. This has been beneficial because they are not frustrated or bored being in a class that is too easy or not overwhelmed in a class that is too hard! I also love that what is taught in the classroom- history, geography, science etc flows over into the field trips. For example, they learn about how lakes are formed and different environments surrounding lakes before they go on a field trip to the Great Salt Lake to discuss the unique environment found there. It has been a wonderful experience to have kids at Arches. I highly recommend this school to anyone wanting more for their children. read more
