David Archer is very professional and helpful. He recently helped us with a difficult estate situation. I highly recommend his service.

Avoid This Property Management Company - Dishonest and Aggressive…read moreI would strongly advise against renting from this property management company. Our experience was incredibly frustrating and ultimately felt like we were being taken advantage of. We were charged $250 for a pipe repair without ever being contacted, consulted, or quoted for the work. When we tried to schedule a meeting to discuss the charge, they refused to meet, ignored our calls, and eventually threatened us with eviction unless we paid. We were forced to pay for something we had no opportunity to approve or dispute. When we moved out, we gave more than 30 days' notice, professionally cleaned the carpets and the home, and even touched up the walls. Despite this, they withheld $2,100 of our security deposit. Their breakdown included: * $300 for drywall repair (not previously mentioned or shown to us) * $1,100 for painting the entire house (even though we left it in great condition) * A charge to replace a lightbulb they falsely claimed was out * $260 for cleaning (even though we had the home professionally cleaned) Throughout the process, this company was unresponsive, evasive, and became aggressive when we questioned the charges. It was clear they had no intention of communicating fairly or ethically. They do not treat tenants with respect and seem to rely on intimidation and avoidance to force compliance. This company took advantage of us and treated us dishonestly. Renters, beware--they will take your money and ignore your concerns.

She doesn't do a very good job as a seller's realtor because there are many communication breakdowns. I stopped taking her phone calls because every time she told me something over the phone it was wrong. She instructed title to close and I still had property in the house. I have text messages where I told her not to close because I'm not out of the house. From the recording time I can tell that she told the title company to record. After I instructed her not to do it until I contact her because I had property in the house. Literally she sold my house and the new owners could have came in at that time and kick me out not allowing me to get my stuff out of the house. She has volunteered for so many things. They do a veterans thing. I asked her three times what do you do for the veterans she tells me we do lots of volunteer work what do? you do the volunteer work oh we do lots of volunteer work she goes round and round in circles. Which leads me to believe that she said she helps veterans but she cannot show any proof.

I'm giving two stars because the initial set up for Sigua managing my property went fine, but in…read moreall reality this is a one star review. It took ~1.5 months to get someone in there and things were going well. After the first couple months it felt like there was little to no communication from the property manager to me, the homeowner. Tenants would be late paying their rent and I would have to reach out to the property manager asking where the rent was for the month even though we were 12+days into that month. The property manager did not check on the house periodically, so the tenants trashed the place. The worst part was when the tenant did not pay rent and stopped communicating with the property manager. The manager took 22 days before producing the 7 day rent payment notice and then took another 3 weeks after the tenant vacated to get contractors to provide a quote to fix the place. Sigua mentioned they had multiple contractors they regularly use and turn around properties quickly, which felt like a lie with the incredibly slow action that was taken with my property. My property was mismanaged and vacant for 3 months during what should have been cosmetic repairs that should only take ~2 weeks. The contractor then waited 3 months to produce an inaccurate invoice where they tried to overcharge me. I would never trust my home or business with Sigua or any of its affiliates again. They were not helpful, transparent, or proactive in managing my property at all. I moved my property to another management company and have had a much smoother successful arrangement.

Walking to ball games, the Art Museum, seeing a show, strolling along the Truckee River's River Walk, or exploring a host of interesting restaurants and bars, I have found life in downtown Reno much better than I earlier knew or imagined. And perhaps you don't want to get caught up in the busyness of the suburban explosion. Moving from California several years ago, I have found The Montage condominiums in downtown Reno one of my best moves ever. For many reasons, I assess The Montage to be the best current offering for downtown condo living in Reno. After checking the competitors, choosing The Montage was an easy choice, so much so that after several years I bought another second, larger unit. While it is an inappropriate location for children, there is a great mix between the 21-40 age group and the 55+. Best of all, I have found my neighbors to be about the most friendly I've encountered, and that most definitely includes the very capable staff. The HOA and Management also maintains a very nice social schedule with speakers and different events. The facility is very dog-friendly though I have never experienced noise problems with that. As a builder-lawsuit has restricted bank-financed purchases up to now, this hopefully will be resolved soon and the prices could spike. Beyond the many amenities, the building is kept spotless and up-to-date by a very competent maintenance staff while security guards and front desk staff monitor activities 24/7. In addition to a large swimming pool and two hot tubs open all year long, the sunny 6th floor pool deck is beautifully landscaped and also includes a full clubhouse and shade cabanas, and five gas grills. There is a large fitness center, meeting room, and business center/television/library. There is also generous on-site storage as well as separate bike storage. Subterranean gated parking protects your vehicle from any cold or heat extremes. This is fun, luxurious, turnkey downtown living that I am so pleased to have discovered!
