Here is the catch: they hide a massive increase to your principal (they tried to add $10k to mine) and reset your 30-year clock. You end up owing significantly more than when you started. The most unprofessional part? I could clearly hear a manager whispering instructions to the agent in the background, coaching her on how to manipulate the conversation. When I questioned the math or said I didn't understand their confusing textbook-scripted jargon, they became condescending and mocked me. They are looking for victims who won't check the math. If you value your financial freedom, stay away. Do not trust their "calculations"--they are playing a shell game with your home equity.
