For carpeting we eventually settled with service from this store. I normally prefer smaller independents because I support proper high streets rather than huge plc / conglomerates but unfortunately none of the local shops had that much of a choice at the right prices. The service provided was the type usually associated with local independents, very good and professional and none of the hard sell of the most expensive items. I was very impressed, they worked out the best way to get what we wanted at the cheapest price. We ended up with a beautiful, flame retarded, carpet with underlay and fitting for less than many others were just asking for the carpet. It was exactly what we wanted and goes superbly with the paint we bought for the walls. I can't fault them in any way.

The range is quite new to Hull but from the day of opening had a full car park everyday. The car park is too small in my opinion and it a nightmare to get out again onto the main road sometimes. It never lets you down. It also has a decent sized garden centre which seems to be reasonably priced compared to others I have been to.

The person letting us in great full of fun and joy, polite, respectful to all. we went on with our shopping, had a nice time looking around the store looking at most of the departments. Then we went to pay, waited in line then Bang, the most rude person served us, she was off hand even though I had placed all our items in order on the counter, and informed her how many items was the same. she spoke to us like we was dirt, I payed her with a bank notes as it was now worth putting to cost of the items on my credit card. Snatching the money off me and then giving me the change on the items I had just payed for. Before I could say anything she had rushed of to talk to her peers on the next till. It's in a nice spot on the Legbourne road and is very easy to find; there's plenty of car parking and the site is large with lots to see, so you can potter around for a good long time choosing your plants! There's a zip-wire for kids to play on and a cafe which everyone tells me serves excellent cake (I haven't sampled it). Prices for plants seem reasonable, although I was astonished to pay nearly £30 for a normal-sized Christmas tree last year - but I think they were expensive everywhere. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and it's a stress-free shopping experience, as garden centres should be.

It has a wide variety of garden products; tools, sheds, fencing, in addition to plants, trees, seeds, compost, mulch, grow bags, stones and fertiliser. In recent years it has diversified and introduced a lot of garden ornaments - especially water features and fountains and also benches and swings. The most recent innovation is the introduction of fish for indoor tanks and outdoor ponds. At Christmas they also have a very good range of Christmas decorations, lights etc. They have recently redeveloped the cafe and this is pretty good for a garden centre. It's very spacious, has a wide range of food for sale, the staff are friendly and the prices aren't too bad - considering they have a captive audience. The prices for the rest of the garden centre are not that impressive compared to others. The range of non decorative plants is also pretty poor. Overall, for me it's convenient and the cafe is pretty good but the main produce is not fantastic.
