They have an indoor and outdoor garden section with a varied selection of plants in each. They are slighlty more expensive then other local garden centres but everything is of the highest quality. At Christmas they have a beautiful display of ornaments and decorations, far better than you would get in most shops. they also do a lovely display which is nice for the children to look at. There is a lovely cafe within the garden centre which has beautiful food and has a lovely atmosphere and looks out over the outside garden area.

As broad a range here as you'll find in any garden centre locally, with an emphasis on perennials, shrubs and trees. A good range of pots, too, and a koi carp/pond section, though I haven't explored this. Vertigrow suits someone who knows what they are looking for. The sheer range of plants might baffle the beginner and you need to be confident you can pick a healthy plant. With so many on display, some aren't in pristine condition. Staff are very knowledgeable and keen to help. However, because they are willing to take their time with customers, it's not the place to go to if you are in a rush. I suspect this is the place that local professional garden designers use.

Gorgeous water features and beautiful fencing etc. They also do a lovely range of gifts throughout the year and have a fantastic christmas display with a santas grotto. There is an extensive range of christmas trees, many different varieties. There is a lovely food range, fresh fruit and vegeatables and homemade jam and cakes. Many of which you can sample in the lovely cafe that is in the centre.

The till service in the shop was even worse! a staff member who was on the till refused to serve customers in the que. We gave up and went to Eatfield garden centre in Brid who are always a pleasure to visit. Staff member in café carried our tray to table and staff on till could not have been better, perhaps they could advise on staff training at Irton!!!

One of quite a few garden centres in quite a rural area and I feel this reflects quite often in the stock levels. It never seems to have lot of stock although I can't enter a garden centre without buying something, its compulsive isnt it! There is a lovely cafe and going here is quite a little trip out as it is set in a beautiful location looking towards Roseberry topping. Parking is easy as the centre has its own carpark. All staff generally in garden centres seem very knowledegable about planting, this centre is no exception. Very friendly staff.
