This little chocolate shop is located at La Cosecha at Union Market District (cute little area with some food and shopping options). Excellent chocolate bon bon with unique flavors but on the pricer side. I sample a few of their flavors: the pina colada, coquito, sarrapia, coffee and rum, and rosemary salt. Biting into each chocolate felt very satisfying. There was a hard chocolate outside with soft inside that melts in your mouth. They have a wide range of unique flavors and pretty packaging. Service was quick. They were fun to try and definitely an indulgence (it would make a nice gift for people, but I wouldn't buy it again for myself due to the price).

These chocolates were truly gorgeous to look at and delicious to eat. Flavors aside the chocolate itself was phenomenal. They really know their stuff :) I wouldn't call myself a chocolate expert by any means - I don't know the science behind tempering or cacao butter ratios or anything like that or even where the best cacao bean comes from... But, I prefer a bon-bon, truffle, whatever you call these things... that has some crunch to the chocolate, that little bit of snap when biting in and getting to the delicious center as well as a chocolate flavor that is well-balanced in terms of sweetness. These beautiful creations delivered on all fronts! Out of the assortment I selected to try, I'd say that the churro and salted caramel were my two favorites. I honestly never had a chocolate like the churro so I 100% recommend trying that one. My husband really enjoyed the Aji spicy and the matcha, but he did say that the matcha flavor was a little weak for him (though he is a matcha monster who wants that fresh mowed lawn flavor so take from that feedback what you will). My least favorite was the orange praline which was a tad too bitter for me, almost like there was some orange rind instead of just zest or something... so I would say 11 out of 12 ain't bad and would definitely order from here again when I am fiending for some excellent chocolates! For those not in DC: I had them shipped and they were hand delivered the following day which was impressive since I wasn't expecting them for about a week. I am in the Reston/Herndon area so I am not sure how far their personal delivery service extends, but it ensured that they didn't sit out in the sun and melt on me!

I decided to try the bon bon chocolates based on word of mouth. The flavors were unique, and the chocolates were beautiful, but they did not taste rich enough. They tasted great but were, sadly, less delicious than they looked. However, I still enjoyed them. There were also chocolate bars for sale. Next time, I will try those instead.

Arcay Chocolates are the product of Anabella Arcay, a Venezuelan Master Chocolatier. I've been walking past this very tempting "chocolate business" for lack of a better word and never tried anything. I finally decided to give it a try. I spoke to the husband of this family operation, Dario Berti, and asked him way too many questions about his business and most importantly - THE CHOCOLATES. He was very friendly and gave me specific details about sourcing, flavors, etc. I bought an assortment of chocolates and absolutely loved it. The Cherry Blossom one was my favorite. The outer layer was thin and crunchy. The inside was very silky smooth and melts in your mouth, all flavors blending together and hitting the palate at different moments. It's really a rollercoaster ride of flavors. The only thing I wasn't fond of was the price! Six small pieces of chocolate for nearly $20 is more than I'd like to spend, but you are paying for premier quality. I'd recommend this spot for all, even if you stop by for one piece of chocolate...you won't be disappointed!! -ODL Follow my IG: @AOEAT Follow my YouTube: @AOEAT

Inside La Cosecha, a Latin American food hall and market near Union Market, is a small stand where you'll meet Anabella, a master chocolatier from Venezuelan. With a warm smile on her face, she'll gently walk you through her well-designed artisan chocolates and bars. Her products include chocolate pieces, chocolate-covered almonds and a variety of bars both milk and dark chocolate. The milk chocolate rice bar was delicious. People may not love the price- over $7 for a small bar- but keep in mind it's a small business and the product is quality!

Chocolate connoisseurs know that Venezuela contains some of the best cacao beans for chocolates in the world, especially from in and near Chuao region (considering the best chocolate bar in the world is the Italian brand Amadei, which sources their chocolate from this region of Venezuela). It's popularity has instilled within Venezuelans throughout their country an impressive dedication and pride for their chocolates, and the owner of this place, Anabelle Arcay, does it no differently and it shows - with 42 international awards and creative flavors, who is to question her? I immediately went for the bon bon with the passion fruit filling and she suggested the lemon basil, blackberry cardamon, and tamarind. I took a gamble with the lemon basil, and it was a worthwhile gamble. I have a feeling that this place is where any gamble is hard to lose. She also sells paletas (popsicles) here with similar fillings.

Delicious chocolates! Beautifully crafted! The lady behind the counter was so sweet! Will definitely revisit this little gem at La Cosecha DC. Amazing vibe!

My #1 pregnancy craving at the moment is hot cocoa and boy did Arcay Chocolate deliver! This is the real deal, hot chocolate, made with real dairy and constantly whirred in a little machine to the perfect temperature and frothy consistency! I'm a bit lactose-intolerant but this was worth the indulgence...it tasted like a liquid chocolate bar! I was in heaven. I didn't get a chance to any try any of the bon bons of truffles but with flavors like passion fruit, tamarind, matcha, and blackberry cardamon I know that I'll be back soon! The owner (a master chocolatier from Venezuela) was as sweet as can be and I loved how they matched their masks and headbands to the tropical mural they had in the back. It's all in the details :)

Incredible chocolates! It's a must try when in DC I bet you haven't tasted a chocolate like this before. Owner attended and excellent place to have lunch at La Cosecha and then some chocolates for dessert . Go for it you won't regret it

The chocolates were delicious and I loved the texture. I had a few different ones and my favorite was surprisingly a cherry blossom one. Didn't even know what it was but the flavor was great. I didn't give them 4 stars because it's a bit on the pricy side. But the staff are super nice and they do make their own chocolates in-house which looks like a lot of work! Worth a try tho!

I decided on getting a 6 piece box of truffles and I was really impressed by the beautiful glossy appearance of each and the flavors were incredibly rich and creamy. I did find the price point a little high, the total was $17.75 for 6 so just shy of $3 each. It was definitely worth trying once!

It took a lot of Will power to not scarf these down. Flavor explosion and just an experience in every bite ! True artisanal flavors that have won awards and rightfully so! Beautiful packaging ... what a lovely business and fun additional to la cosecha!

    So many choices!!

I am totally totally in love with this chocolate place!! It was so hard to pick and, if I knew how good they were when I picked out a six piece box then I would've gotten a 12 piece box. Each and every chocolate was so decadent. I loved all of them! The caramel one was probably my favorite and that was a hard choice because the other ones I got or so so good. The woman who is the owner and make her of the chocolate is also lovely. She was able to answer all of my questions and also make some recommendations when I was having a hard time deciding which ones I should get. I don't think she could've recommended one that was bad because they were all so so so good. Every time I come to DC I am coming here and getting chocolate and we will see if I can make it home with any of them to share. Probably not, although maybe they'll have a 24 piece box by that time. :-)

TLDR: Solid chocolate shop with delicious hot chocolate offerings and cookies…read more My wife really wanted some hot chocolate last night and we happened to be near Georgetown. I found this place on Yelp and decided to bring her for a post dinner hot chocolate. I ordered the dark signature drinking chocolate and my wife ordered the milk chocolate signature drinking chocolate. I personally enjoy dark chocolate more, thus I found my drink to be tastier. My wife does not care much for dark chocolate so she enjoyed hers more. You may want some water after you finish your drink because it's very rich in flavor. Unfortunately they were out of the single source chocolate for the day. I assume that it must be delicious if it's sold out by the end of the day. We also ordered a chocolate walnut cookie, however I believe that she gave us the chocolate raspberry cookie by accident. I was not upset because that was my second choice anyway. The cookie had pockets of nothing but chocolate which, for a chocolate lover like myself, were pure heaven. The place is somewhat cozy feeling and has a decent amount of seating for a store in Georgetown. They care enough about the store to have closed off a bench that had stained upholstery. I appreciated that they cared about that because other stores would have just left it and allowed people to sit on it. The parking is typical Georgetown parking so be prepared for it to be a mess. We found parking on the side street right after the chocolate store.

The decor leans heavily into a Gen Z and Gen Alpha vibe, complete with numerous photo opportunities for your social media feed. Think neon signs, floral walls, and playful details like the swing chairs that feel straight out of Ce-La-Vi in Dubai. It's definitely a "sceney" spot, but done with charm -- more fun than pretentious. Whether you're meeting a friend or just stopping in for a pick-me-up, the space makes a strong first impression. In & Out: This is very much a grab-and-go café. There's a small seating area if you want to stay for a quick chat, but it's tight and not built for long visits. Still, the location is great -- perfect for picking up your drink and strolling around the area. It's ideal for a quick coffee run or a midday break rather than a full sit-down experience. Latte Variety: The drink menu is impressive, featuring one of the most extensive selections of flavored lattes and hot drinks available. From creative takes on classics to seasonal specialties, they've got everything: lattes, teas, and even rich hot chocolate options. It's a dream for anyone who loves exploring different flavor combinations -- or wants a cozy drink done right. Pro Tip: - Take off your polarized sunglasses when ordering -- the menu screens are impossible to read through them (learned that one the hard way). - Great spot for photos, a quick caffeine fix, and people-watching.
