Bez Konceptu makes incredible lattes and cappuccinos topped with beautiful artwork, iced coffees and teas with fresh mint or fruit in the summer, and recently added chai lattes to the menu, which I missed dearly from home. The cheesecakes and sandwiches are fantastic (the triangle with egg, cheese and special sauce is one of the best hangover cures I've found!) and they are all homemade daily. On top of all this, they are the friendliest staff imaginable, always greeting you with a smile even when every table is full and there is a line out the door. Most speak fantastic English and of course Czech, making it a favorite for both expats and locals.

It was a full plate of food that was fantastic! The beans were flavorful, the roasted tomatoes juicy and warm. The sausage AB's bacon cooked perfectly. The string is unique, very artsy in my opinion, combining indoor/outdoor seating. Very open and comfortable, appeared to be many locals taking in a morning coffee or breakfast and working. I will warn the potential customer, however, that they only have a few tables, and so it's not the most comfortable place to sit down for a coffee and read/work/have an intimate conversation. Usually they have some baked good or goods which are pretty tasty as well. I always wonder how these places manage to have such cheap, high-quality coffee, but sell the same coffee bags for such a high price (you'd barely save money making it at home), but that might just be the strange economics of the business. Anyway, the products are high quality, show it some love.

Sat here for quite a while at this sidewalk cafe just enjoying the warm Fall day but enjoying even more the coffee and wonderful food. You order inside and your order is brought out (cafe service is still very wait staff based). Servers are courteous and efficient. All speak English but certainly helps to speak Czech. Very much worth a stop if you are near for a light breakfast or light lunch with a wonderful street side atmosphere.

Aside from the proprietor, myself and one other customer, this quaint cafe was devoid of other guests. The space is cozy, warm and eclectic, a handful of small tables with space for about a dozen people seated. They carry a handful of different dessert options, mostly cakes and a few pastries and one or two quiches made by the owner herself. Though I really wanted to try one of the cakes, it was before lunch so I ended up going with a meringue and a latte. The cookie was a textbook meringue, light, crisp, beautifully piped. The latte 72 CZK, while not particularly standout, was decent. The owner was kind, sweet and spoke English much better than my unfamiliarity with Czech. If I recall correctly they take cash and card, and a bathroom is available for customers though I didn't use it. There's parking available in a nearby lot though not really recommended to drive, since the entire area is quite touristy by the castle with limited parking. Public buses and tram stop Pohořelec are available nearby. A little oasis of calm on a weekday afternoon and I hope it remains so! What a pleasant experience.

There are more tables in the back room, and in the summer, there is patio seating. Order at the counter and they bring your meal to you. Several people (myself included) bring their laptops and do a little work. The Internet password is usually written on cards on the counter and You can stay as long as you like. Cafe gets frequent visitors but it's never too loud. Some people also just stop in to grab some coffee to take away. Service is usually friendly. They have a big menu of drinks on the blackboard over the counter - you can ask them to see a breakfast menu (it's a tiny list they keep at the counter) I always get the toasted bagel, smeared with a little pesto, piled high with mozzarella, black olives, tomatoes, greens, drizzled with olive oil, and dusted with black pepper. And a lovely hot pot of Jasmine tea. It's quite filling. I've seen people order omelettes which look quite big. I like the atmosphere of the place and love spending lazy mornings here enjoying breakfast.
