The waitress didn't want to hear that the reservation she had was ours and quite rudely told us to leave since she didn't have any empty tables. After we arrived WITH the rest of our party at the appointment time (15 mins later) she seated us with the most angry look. We were 6 ppl. This was a business dinner arranged by the people we were visiting so we couldn't cancel. But I will say the experience with the ice queen soured all our tastes for the restaurant. We will not visit this restaurant again. Our server was a guy and he was very nice and patient and informed about the food to offer good suggestions. The food was good but would I ever go back here again? Never! The experience with her was awful

The service was what we considered local Czech (quick & to the point) the atmosphere warm (it was brisk outside) with old world charm. Drinks were ordered a couple of local beers, hot tea & Aperol Spritz. Two of us order the daily soup special (Denni Polenka) which was a traditional Czech mushroom soup, famously known as Kulajda (or houbová polévka), with dried wild forest mushrooms, potatoes, fresh dill, and sour cream. It was delicious. Our friend had the ROASTED PORK LARDED WITH BACON AND CARROTS WITH MUSHROOM SAUCE, hOME MADE SPICED POTATO PANCAKES, this too was delicious. An excellent place to enjoy good local cuisine with a charming atmosphere.

It is a bit difficult to review as I would give a different rating for the food than the drinks/atmosphere/service. The food menu is basic, sandwiches, burgers, salads. I thought the food was fine, nothing exceptional. I would recommend coming here for a drink break while exploring the city. The drink menu was far more extensive. They offered a good variety from alcoholic to non, and plenty of coffee drinks. They also have ice cream and desserts as well. We had the homemade mint lemonade (I did need more ice, but our server accommodated this) and the iced coffee with ice cream and Baileys. The mint lemonade was wonderful and refreshing. The iced coffee was basically dessert. Eat elsewhere but stop for a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. Everything was well priced, quite inexpensive. The service was also excellent.

To eat, I had the Roast duck leg with Apple Cabbage. It comes with potato gnocchi which I substituted for my fave, mashed potatoes (or potato puree as they call it here). I wasn't sure if I would like the cabbage but I actually quite enjoyed it. It was like pickled cabbage but a little sweet - good flavors. Very healthy-sized portion.
