I had to move my clothes because my personal belongings were getting damaged. Invitation Homes has come three different times to address the issue, but each visit only involved briefly looking at the wall and attempting to dry the water from the rug. I was told they are waiting for a proposal. Today I was informed that the earliest available appointment is April 3, which means waiting 12 more days just for someone to come look at the walls again. This is unacceptable given the severity of the situation. The entire wall needs to be opened to address what appears to be a leaking pipe. The carpet and padding need to be removed and replaced, and the water on the floor needs to be properly extracted. There is now a strong odor developing in the room. The walls, window seal, window blinds, and window screen are also damaged and need replacement. Last night, water even started dripping from the ceiling lights and vents, which forced me to move my bed all the way to the door just to avoid getting wet while sleeping. This situation has made my bedroom unsafe and unlivable, and I am extremely disappointed with the delay in repairs and lack of urgency shown so far. Literally the room is flooding with water from outside and dirt mixed in.

He commutated with my Closing company and Lender directly when I needed the information's clarification ( especially, the specific legal terminology). Furthermore, all the paper work and earning money sending were done electronically-it was so easy and accurate as well as saving a lot of my time and energy in this busy life. In Sum, the closing was done on time, and my Lender told me that they were impressed how Mr. Mark Gettinger was able to manage very professionally the condo purchase ( which is required more knowledge and documentation than purchasing a single home) and also for a Buyer who is living in the different state. I am recommending Mr. Mark Gettinger as a trustful, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and professional Real Estate Agent.

Before I get into it, though, I would like to summarize (for those in a hurry / TL;DR) that I am extremely pleased with the experience. Joe keeps his units more than reasonably priced - they are ultra-competitive with the industry standard. Once leased up, Joe and Jackie (his Assistant) have been highly responsive with any maintenance requests. They have had their maintenance team out to look at/repair things within one business day on every single occasion over 7 years. Further, they have replaced appliances as needed, and have no problem having a crew that will honestly appraise whatever situation I am dealing with - they do not eschew sound judgment in favor of penny-pinching. Joe himself, as has been pointed out by others, is not the most jovial of fellows. But what Joe is, and what he does, is better. Joe is a conscientious business owner who operates with complete integrity. He looks you in the eye, only says what he means, and means every word he says. One of life's lessons is that you cannot afford to partner with anyone who fails to operate in that way - particularly when it comes to where you decide to call 'home'. And once you are in, Joe will take care of you. Problem neighbor? They will deal with it. Security concern? They're on it. You get the picture. If my review makes it sound as though there are non-stop 'issues' in my building, that is not at all the case. Phone calls to the office are very rare - the building is quiet, secure, and clean. I am comfortable having my family here, which I would never compromise. If you need anything, you will not lack for help in having your issue remedied. Joe and Jackie run a fair and transparent business, which may be a bit of a dying art in today's age.

    Renters, please beware!…read more If you're considering living at The Heights, be aware of several serious issues I experienced during my 14-month stay 2024-2025: Damage Deposit: Management withheld my damage deposit for carpet cleaning and charged for minor cleaning items. I did not receive a full refund. Cleaning is not damaging rather a cost to them turning the apartment. Access Issues: Instead of a proper key, you're given a fob. When the power goes out--which happened multiple times in the summer of 2024--you'll be locked out, and no one answers the emergency contact numbers. Noise Levels: The residents are extremely noisy. I lost sleep regularly due to the constant disturbances. Flooding Incident: My apartment was flooded because the resident above me didn't use their shower curtain properly. Some of my belongings were ruined, and I received no compensation for the damages. Pest Problems: The gas grills on the decks are filthy, attracting wasps and bees that made their way into my apartment. I had to trap wasps in a jar as proof before management finally sent pest control. Outdoor Space: Due to the pest issues, I never used my deck the entire time I lived there. If I could give a zero star rating, I would have done so.

And for Aaroosh to be appalled by the negative reviews is just hilarious. We asked to meet with Aaroosh and he always had an excuse as to why he was unavailable. The tenants ended up finding our contact info and reaching out because Aaroosh was MIA. Thank God for good, ethic tenants or we would've been screwed. Your best bet is to believe all the horrible reviews because each one is TRUE!!! He's a fraud and vacationing is his priority. Believe Peter, Sunny, and whoever else posted a negative review. Your home is a major investment. Don't waste your time with this fraud.

Being the summer of Covid during George Floyd protests, we had to do it ourselves and let me tell you... the amount of hair, cigarette butts, grime, etc was appalling. We were compensated $200 for our labor. Aroosh left the company and Tyler took over. Way more professional and responsive, we were hopeful things would get better. I'm sure for property owners, he's great, but we were screwed upon move out and got only $57 back from our deposit. Was not expecting the full amount but got charged $600 for cleaning (cleaners from PPM) and almost $300 for flea treatment. FLEAS?! We did not have fleas and left that place 100x cleaner than how it was received. Renters, beware. Another company to nickel and dime you when it's time to move out, and not take care of the most basic things. Property owners, if you care about finding and keeping quality renters, do not hire them.

On my hunt for the perfect boyfriend, uh, I mean, brownstone with built-in cabinets, wooden floors, octogan-tiled bathroom, and a sink NOT from the 1920s (those are the one-tub, hanging sinks with no counter space), I finally came across my apartment building. But this love story was no easy battle.... I scoured on-line dating sites (ala Craigslist) for hours and decided to get all of my apartment dates done in two days. Yes, that's right. Two days. And twenty-two, three, six apartments later, I had an older, uber nice gentleman by the name of Paul showing me a Baker property apartment. I was completely in L-O-V-E. I mean, I had been through A LOT the last couple of days: 1) I met a lot of men, uh, apartments, that were incredibly small. I literally had to shimmy in between the sink and the stove. So, yes, size dooooes matter. 2) Some of the places had odd layouts. The fridge in the foyer, the stove in the closet, and "oh? you want to put a queen-sized bed here? Yeah, only if you angle it at 83.5 degrees and lean it against the wall." Please, don't be weird. 3) I understand you're only a block from Hennepin, but hrello?! I still have to park eight blocks away, so why don't I just find an apartment eight blocks away? So, yeah, you may look good on the outside and may be popular, but I still gotta work my tush off to get to you - not gonna happen. 4) I walked in to a half-naked girl with head phones on who forgot her apartment was up for show! Okay, whenever there's another girl... and she's half naked, that's an auto "it's over." 5) When I saw the Baker apartment, my heart started fluttering. I saw pictures of our future together. I saw myself building a life with this apartment. I just knew... it was "the one." The next day, I dropped off my application and payment forms. Two days later, I was ready to move in! Everything was just happening so fast. Everything with Baker has been incredible. And ever since my first day as a resident, they have helped me with countless, ditzy things: 1) I couldn't get my stove to fire up. Yes, Nadine, plug it in. 2) My faucet kept leaking under the sink. Yes, Nadine, tighten it up. 3) My door key went missing. Yes, Nadine, changed locks coming right up (and this was at 730 in the morning). They have a five or six properties around the Uptown area with tons of residents. But everytime I've called, they've known exactly which apartment I live in. Creepy? Nah, just nice to know that they actually know their residents. Bottom line, I am in love. Love. Love. Love. Yeah, it's a block up Lake Street. But heck, at least I know there are cops around my hood... like all. the. time.

Super friendly and responsive management. They were always so respectful of my pets as well. I particularly enjoyed interacting with Troy and his son and they always stopped to chat with me and catch up - really the nicest people I've ever dealt with through an apartment rental. I no longer rent from them only because I moved out of state. You can trust these folks will treat you with respect and transparency and address any issues you have ASAP!
