Hands down, the best part of this visit was our server, Rosario, as she was kind and patient with our group. She organized our bill early on to make sure things matched up and didn't make a fuss when we asked for separate checks. She also grabbed us boxes, took a few group photos, and helped grab us everything we needed. Typical pub fare - burgers, sandwiches, apps. They serve sandwiches/burgers without a side but you can make it deluxe and add a side for $1. Heard great things about the food around the table but the big hits were the mac and cheese bites, the wings, and the large portions. Good beer menu with a couple local options which I loved.

The place is a typical bar with a small bar and an open area next to it with hi tables and stools. They have a pool table, darts, plenty of tvs with a nice small selection of tap beer that's not all domestic. The bar has a small menu sitting on it with pizzas, burgers and apps so it's not that big but it's well rounded. I ordered a draft beer which I don't even know what it was called but it had a head on the handle that came in a frosted mug that I liked. There was a benefit going on for some one and people brought in food like a pot luck kind of thing which was cool. It's a cozy neighborhood dive bar that gets the job done.

So stop by for the Fish Fry on Friday night, have a cocktail or two, chill out a bit with your wife/date/partner/whatever, and kick off your weekend in epic local-joint style. Oh, and like the Fish on Friday, the Prime Rib on Saturday is also outstanding. A two-fer!!!

I visited shortly after I arrived to Lake Lawn Resort, because my room wasn't ready and I had to wait to check in. So I strolled over to The Lookout Bar & Eatery for a lil' drink and a Caesar salad to kill some time. I got a hefeweizen to start, and then a Blue Moon with an orange slice in it. Both of these were on tap at the bar. The bar was kind of empty when I visited, so I had my server's full attention, and she made sure that everything was all good. I got a Caesar salad to eat, which was fine. It wasn't the best Caesar, and I don't think I would order it again, but it made me less hungry, and it was a salad, so it did its job. Its mediocrity didn't stop me from eating it all. A couple of days later, I visited The Lookout Bar for a big glass of red wine to take back to my room. The server poured me a hearty glass and said, "This should get you drunk!" I appreciated his enthusiasm and confidence in his pour. Overall, I think I would visit The Lookout for drinks but not food. Or if you do get food, then set your expectations low.
