The bane of many women out there? Our shoes generally don't appear to be constructed for being worn. One memorable moment of my shoe shopping history was being told by a sales assistant that the pair of boots I was trying on were 'inside' boots, as in, not designed to be worn outside and that most shoes shouldn't really be worn when walking the pavement. Seriously?
As a consequence of this, anytime I buy a pair of shoes I have any interest in wearing more than twice, its off to the cobblers for new soles and heels so that they last and I can continue to pound the pavement.
The guys in-store are always busy but happy to give advice and tips into how to best treat your shoes, I generally only come in for new soles but they've also helped me out with some heel repairs and fixing up busted boot zippers.
Turn around time on repair can vary depending on their current workload and the time you visit, but I'm usually quoted two-three days. Not to expensive either but if you can ask for a quote if need be.
They've also got a pretty extensive selection of polishes, waterproof-ers and other shoe care accessories and the guys are happy to advise when needed. read more
