The individual apartments look decent enough. Sadly, it's a facade. Starting with the elevator that never works (plan on carrying your laundry or walking up floors often) to the dumpsters that are left open, stinking up the whole place all summer, the rent is too high for the total lack of effective management. Things were tolerable. But like so many others who I know have moved out while I lived there, problems with the manager (unstable lady) and noise levels between the units is a big problem. When the elevator doesn't work, the whole building fills up with the smell of rotten garbage because elderly people struggle to walk flights of stairs carrying the garbage. The stench is overwhelming. At night in the summer, rats, raccoons, and stray cats can be seen helping themselves to the uncovered dumpsters that are set dead center in the middle of the property. You would think management would recognize the obvious issue. But, it seems to be that they have no aversion to the stench and the critters. In winter it is fine. They plow regularly and the critters go away. I recently moved out and find that I am not nauseous all the time like I was when I lived there. So, I think there might be other problems with the building. I complained about smoke for a few months. The smoke filled my bathroom and apartment through the vent. The response was meaningless. If you have little to no expectations, you will be fine. read more
