Great service, friendly happy people, organized, managers are very nice and treat employees very respectful. Employees seem like they are happy being there prices are good , Tuesdays are the best days to shop. Selection has gotten better (without a store full of furniture.) As far as thrift stores go, this one is big and has a lot to offer. Is it a bit dirty, yes, a smidge, and they could fix some of the issues, but they have quality clothing and they do a great job during holidays. We love coming to this Arc. One of the cashiers is a very friendly man with a southern accent--he's my favorite cashier to go to! Pretty much every employee we've encountered has been friendly. We used to love to go here, but the prices have gotten out of hand. I know a business needs to make money, but when the original store was selling these for .50 new, they really think $12.99 should be the price at arc. Over a 2,000% increase in price at the thrift store. This is just one example of price gouging. Many items I can find new for less. Seems like greed has taken over and you can save more by watching for sales or private sellers. Better prices equals more sales. I am all about re-use, recycle, repurpose, anything to make the Earth a better place for everyone. I actually like the ARC a lot more then other re-sale / discount resellers in town. First off its the same staff always when I go in with super friendly helpful faces. Secondly, they make their whole process easy, especially on Saturday where EVERYTHING but 1 color is 50% off. On the other days its just 1 random color option 50% off. I go into the ARC for specific items, and sometimes I get super lucky I find them & the best part is when it's 50% off I feel like its a steal of a deal, especially if I were to buy the item brand new it be upwards $10-$30 or more.... Recently I have been on the hunt for specific dishes and I have panned out super lucky to finding them here for $1.50 each, originally priced at $3. Best part is when I find multiples and their priced a little different all I have to do is tell them and they will adjust the dishes to be all the same price, that or I just get really lucky with the person at the register. Once a month I make it a goal to come here and indulge and come out with handful of items under $15. I found some of my fab athleta shirt and pants here, I will for sure continue shopping here to save and re-use. read more

Called to ask if I could bring a couch in to donate and where to drop off since it was a large item. Carrie (I think was her name) said to come on over and pull around back. We pull around back and the donation handlers said "no we can't take it" and was like "I just called 4 minutes ago". She said "you must have called the wrong store". No I didn't, they tell you the location when they answer the phone. If they weren't so rude about it, it wouldn't be a big deal. read more

"Maria" is a terrible and incompetent "supervisor"! There was a woman I saw who forgot the expensive boots she purchased in the store and came back to get them with receipt. I think this happened last Saturday She asked the cashier if she could speak with her and she (the cashier) tried to call her to the front (I was standing behind them by the carts) Maria instead called the register and told the poor cashier that there was nothing she could do with no "proof"?! You mean the evidence that she paid for the boots that was on the receipt?! The cashier (I think her name was Jess?) was distraught and I felt really bad for her. She said we usually do refunds in the form of gift cards or cash back, but this new supervisor seems to have changed that rule for missing items. "Jess" attempted to call her again to talk Maria into a gift cart return. (Keep in mind that this Maria never left her office to speak to her personally this WHOLE TIME. Very unprofessional and cowardly!) Again Maria told her no and the cashier looked guilty having to tell the lady that. Another customer told her to go to corporate and I really hope they did, because this Maria lady just stole money from her for the sake of their sale! read more

Just a friendly neighborhood thrift store! I've visited probably a dozen times and have always had friendly, courteous interactions with the ARC staff. Even on Saturdays when they are very busy, the staff is very visible and helpful. Like every other thrift store, the inventory changes frequently, but I have made some great finds at this location. read more

This place gets some good stuff and some not-so-good stuff. I know because I've left a lot of it there. Plenty of examples of each from my garage, bedroom, hall closet, kids rooms, kitchen. You can own something that Bill B. touched. Fancy that. On the supply side (rather than the output side) I've been pretty impressed with the selection. I picked up Weber table-top grill for only $4.99. The place is clean and well-kept. It doesn't have the dreaded stale b.o. smell of some thrift stores. It's also a convenient place to donate. Just pull around back and they will help you unload. read more

Generally they have a great selection for kids clothes & toys ... Good varied inventory ... far better than the GW at Simms & Belleview. The staff has always be better than your average thrift store. Much more willing to help and engage with you. (That says something at most volunteer driven thrift stores) THe Bric Brac section is also quite extensive and a surprising amount of house wares/linens too. My wife was in this store shopping when her cell phone was pick pocketed out of her back pocket. When she tried to report the theft to the store employees, they seemed totally uninterested and unhelpful. We tried contacting the store manager the next day but he didn't offer any real help either, not even offering to provide video footage from the incident. My wife wanted to buy some clothes here, but since her phone got stolen and they didn't want to help at all, she didn't buy anything that day, nor will we ever shop here again. read more

This used to be a great thrift store. I know many people who used to like this store as well. However, the prices have risen Way too much over the last few months to make going here worth while. The goal is to help charity, not rip off customers. Today we went in to the store only to find Broken glass (not recent breaks) for $15.99, worthless end tables that belong in the dump for $39.99 each(!!!), and countless other overpriced pieces of junk. I wouldn't waste another minute at this store. Customers aren't stupid, and they won't buy used Walmart quality (at best) items for more than they could buy them new. I am not sure what everyone is complaining about I find this store to be very competitive in their pricing. I do agree I would like to see a 50% off day during the week as sometimes it is so crowded on the weekend it is not an enjoyable shopping experience. I would like to give a shout out to one of the employees ad that is Terry. I have found him to always be enjoyable to work with and goes out of his way to not only help me but other customers as well. The only complaint I have about this store is one of the cashier's in fact I wont go in her line. She is an older woman with short blonde hair and I think her name starts with a B. I'm getting tired of thrift stores acting like they know anything about how to price antiques or collectibles. This place is littered with items that are overpriced merely because they look like an antique or a collectible. Just in my trip yesterday, I saw 1) comic books locked up behind a glass case for anywhere from 6 dollars to 10 dollars EACH. I'm a comic book collector and I know that the comics they had displayed were barely worth a dollar apiece, but I guess that since they're comic books they must think they got antique roadshow quality finds. Also, ARC, if you read this. If you really want to treat the comics as antiques, either put boards behind them or lay them flat. Standing them up with no boards just damages them and decreases their value. 2) unframed oil paintings -- the original price tags were on the paintings for 7.99 apiece, but ARC decided to do a price hike to 34.00 because I don't know, maybe they looked cool. 3) an old beat up book for $200+ dollars. I guess because it looks old it must be worth that. I don't mind people selling things for what they're worth, but these are CHARITABLE, DONATED items and the staff are unqualified to act as antique dealers. I just think it's pretty sad that they're selling comics for 10 times their value so that families looking for thrift store bargains can't get their kids a comic book. I hope that families don't donate their collectibles here because staff don't know how to care for them and they'll try to sell your donations far out of the price range of the families who they are supposedly trying to serve. read more

Great selection of women's clothes, always have plenty of name brands to choose from. Too expensive any day but On their 50% off Saturdays. Unfortunately, this makes the store way too busy to actually get any shopping done. None of the fitting rooms are big enough to hold a person and a cart or stroller, making it impossible to shop with little ones in tow. Staff are friendly but can come off as a bit trashy at times, and can be overly aggressive regarding fitting room etiquette (knocking on doors every few minutes). I tend to shop here only when absolutely necessary. Would be improved with a bigger fitting room, more fitting rooms, and a weekday 50% sale. read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR LITTLETON BLVD STORE: Last week my daughter and I went to this Arc for the first time. We were approached by an employee named "Dixie". Not only did she reek of alcohol and pot, she asked us both if we had any pain killers...and then started rambling on about the upper management and how they favored the younger employees and also suggested that the younger girls must be "on their backs to move up the ladder.. We will never shop there again and she needs to be fired along with whomever hired such a person to work there. As we were leaving the store, she came outside to tell us both that if we had any donations and the store was closed, we could take them 2 blocks down to Crocker st. and drop them off at her house. ?? I guess they do not drug test and background check the new hires and they certainly need to. read more

This is my neighborhood thrift store and I've been coming here for at least 6 years, shopping for myself, my husband, and my 2 small kids. I'm not exactly sure why everyone is saying the prices are high. I would gladly pay $6 for a Children's Place winter jacket for my 2 year old daughter and $4 for Target snow bibs, that's $10 spent vs easily spending 5 times that at the stores. Also, the 'big guy' at the front is Carl and he's amazing. He's funny and sarcastic at times but one of the sweetest guys there. You'd really be missing out if you don't give this ARC a shot. I LOVE Arc Thrift Stores, HOWEVER... They are always a pleasure (well, sometimes) and I'm supportive of the wonderful cause. I can usually find a gem or two... or three. However the past several times I have had an issue with several of Arc's employees and its customer service in general. I'm sorry for the one star, but I hope to catch a manager's attention. I also have an issue with the soaring prices on some of the merchandise. Other reviews on here also point out the prices that are rising... even on bric-brac items?! Can someone justify that or..? To start- my first problem. There is a very unpleasant woman, I think her name starts with a B. Bonita I think? She was bent over the counter staring at her phone as I was waiting in line (mind you it was only me and another person), not only did she ignore me but when she finally saw me she said she was "busy" and told me to go to another register. The young man was obviously busy with another customer where she pointed to me to go. She fumbled around the register just trying to look busy when I finally asked her to just check me out, please. I had a return and a purchase...I could tell she was obviously well... Irritated. She refused to to do anything because it was one day over the policy, I live about 40 minutes away and it was only 2 items. It should not have been that big of a deal that she turned it into. This woman blatantly ignored me, and has done so to not just me, but other customers as well I've witnessed on other occasions. I also did not like the way I she treated her other coworkers, just a general sense on unpleasantness and rudeness. For someone as old as she is, she should know how customer service works, or at least the practice being a decent human being. After one these situations, I approached one of the supervisors who completely ignored me as I tried to get his attention privately- glasses and white hair, no apology or anything. He just zoomed past me and nearly pushed me aside into a rack of clothes. Is this what goes on here? I would never post a negative review such as this but this is an issue that should be addressed because I see this happening whenever I come in to the store. Positive note: The times I have been there before, Sarah, Greta, Ed, young man named Josh, Anthony, Larry, Laura have been helpful and I always try to go to them when I am able to. I just hope this woman is talked to about her demeanor at work... particularly not by the supervisor that was rude as well. There is no need for that kind of attitude, especially at Arc. read more
