My team would have to reach out to me, and I'd call and remind him that a contract was time sensitive. Everything they asked from me, I sent it asap, even though their "revelations" would come late. I have multiple properties so this isnt my forst rodeo at all. I spent plenty money expediting unnecessary items. After the 2nd missed closing date (because they were slow). Jeffrey let's me know that the appraiser incorrectly zoned the property and refused to change it. For clarity, most lenders won't approve a loan when appraisal report is mismatch from the city zoning. This is THEIR appraiser! And this was brought up to me 3 weeks after the appraisal was actually done. I have no idea who is scamming these ratings but this was the most terrible property purchasing experience of my life. I walked away because I just could not fathom continuing to work with these incompetent people.

He…read moreworked with us from the beginning, helping us decide how much house we could truly afford and thankfully never pushed us over that figure. As first-time home buyers that are self-employed we needed a lot of hand-holding and he was with us in the details and provided all the education to make us comfortable throughout each step. Ken has got to be one of the busiest professionals in this industry and still he made time for my questions, repeated questions, concerns, ideas and general musings while navigating financing. I don't know how someone can answer their phone so consistently, honestly. From pre-qualification, through shopping and all the escrow madness, he carried us to the end. Ken took a thorough look at our borrowing power and gave recommendations and exact steps to follow to get us in the most favorable position possible. He shopped loans for us the first couple weeks of escrow and locked us in at the lowest rate of the month, and included buy-down rates that were extremely affordable. I admittedly hated every single part of being in escrow and may insist this starter home become our forever home so we never have to do that again, haha! Considering the stress involved, I couldn't imagine doing it with anyone less qualified, experienced and profession than Ken. We will be running to him for a re-fi in a couple years I'm sure of it. We had the opportunity to work with several of Ken's colleagues at San Diego Funding during the process and everyone was responsive, informative and kind to us. I especially loved working with his assistant Marci who really smoothed out some sticky situations and was a big part of getting out loan through on-time. I am so grateful for this excellent service and will be quick to refer Ken to anyone looking for a home loan.

There was a time delay because I had rain damage right before my appraisal. Tim and Carlos kept a cool head and worked with me to reschedule the appraiser. These people advertise that as long as we have equity they have creative solutions. That they have…read morenumerous banks with which they do business. Therefore, they can always find a way to help. That they are unlike other lenders. That really is not true. I have over 50 percent equity in my condo. I spoke to Able a few months ago. He told me that he could not help me because the complex in which my condo is located was in litigation. He said I would have trouble with all lenders because of the litigation issue. That is not a solution. He put himself in a category with all other lenders. As the conversation progressed, Able told me that others have written bad reviews saying that he could not or did not help them. He seemed to be implying that their expectations were too high. That, of course, he cannot help in all situations. I pointed out to him that is their advertising. That as long as we have equity, they can help. So it is understandable that people with equity would be disappointed when the E Mortgage team says they cannot help. The litigation issue at my condominium complex was resolved. I called Able back about a month later. I also texted him. I reminded him of our prior conversation. I told him the litigation issue was resolved. He ignored all of my calls and texts. That is not the response one would expect from two guys who advertise that as long as we have equity, they have creative solutions. It is also very rude. The truth is, they do not have solutions which are not available to any other run of the mill lender.
