This was really not the type of place I'm used to. I was being escorted around the area and they chose the lunch location. They had a good variety of items but a lot of things I don't eat. I ordered the soup. . . small bacon corn chowder and a BLT on gluten free bread. Thankfully, I don't think the soup was made with cream or dairy. The broth was too thin (I could be wrong). It was okay. The BLT was tasty. I enjoyed the gluten free bread (tasted like mine). I don't think I'd return but only because I didn't see anything else on the menu that I really wanted to try.

The pancakes were very large, and the sausage was good. The restaurant was a typical small town ole-school eatery. Our servers were great, and Being this was a very small town, I think it was very good. We would definitely eat here again, if we are ever through this part again.

My husband being the 6 foot four man he is ordered 2 $5 dollar meal deals and he did not receive the sauce he asked for now this is just horrible right off the bat yet he still devoured everything. He said it just didn't taste the same without The sauce and then we move onto my kids. My kids are skinny little girls and so I just figured we might as well treat ourselves today so I also get my two girls Shelly and Petunia, five dollar meal deals specifically with the McChicken. I'm never gonna be a hater on five dollar meal deal, but this is absurd the amount of hatred, I felt after eating a bare nugget without any sauce Left me to be disgusted. I cannot believe this fix your lack of sauce!

It does a pretty big business for Ashland though, I've seen this place with a line wrapped around to the other side. You can also get ice cream cakes too! I'm pretty sure the same people own the one in Ashland and Washburn, so if you are looking for a Dairy Queen with chicken or burgers, you can just drive to Washburn! But, if you like hot dogs and are looking for a quick cold snack, this one should suffice perfectly. This Dairy Queen is also kinda cute.. in an old way. It really is just a hut like building on the corner of a busy street. You walk up to the window and the people inside make what you order, then hand it back to you. There is a couple picnic tables outside, and a couple (not too many) places to park in the lot. Other than that, there really isn't anywhere to sit and enjoy your ice cream. The host wasn't thrilled when I insisted on waiting and sitting outside. At a time where everybody has different levels of comfort, I'd imagine a bit of flexibility would be key. The rest of the staff was incredibly friendly and they are all over the cleaning and safety measures. A great menu of options, but just wait til they walk you through the daily specials. The sweet potato hash is mixed with real potatoes, and a fantastic savory mix with eggs on top. Had the stuffed hash browns. Highly recommend getting over easy eggs on top as it was a bit dry.
