We've used Arborists Plus for several jobs at two different properties over 10 years and gotten great service, useful advice, and the best prices by far. They've taken down huge pines that were near our house, cypresses that were leaning over a neighbor's roof, and made helpful suggestions for the maintenance and upkeep of other ornamental trees. They leave the job site clean and tidy; they'll put your mulch &/or logs where you ask them to; or haul it away. Bill is a straight talker and will tell you if something you want to do is a bad idea. Bill Dixon gave us an excellent quote on two really big trees and a few small ones. The two biggest trees were within feet of our house and a power line. His crew was professional and fast. They cleaned up the work site and went above and beyond the job. I would recommend him to any of my family and friends. I had great customer service. Bill came out to look at trees I had concerns about because the leaves were not growing normal. Several branches were bare and I figured they were dying. He looked at them, assured me that the growth on the top looked good and showed me some new growth. In the end he recommended leaving all the trees because they offered good shade and were not dying. It's nice to meet an honest person. (I called him because several years ago he came out and took down a dead tree and two others that were in the way of what I was doing. He did great work and cleaned up nicely.) read more

Too bad you can't rate them a zero.Had them come out for an estimate, estimate was good. Despite their bad reviews, I decided to give them a try. Called them Friday and told them I had an estimate done and I watned to get the work done. Surprisingly, they scheduled me for same day. I called them back because I remembered I had another appt, so they rescheduled for the following Monday at 11. Drove from my new home to the one I am selling, the one that needed the work, 45 min away. No show. Called them at 11:25 and they had NO appt even written down. So the girl on the phone, with the crying baby in the background, said she would call and see if they could get someone out. Got a call back and said they would be coming out to give the estimate! NOT the actual job! I told them I already had the estimate, just like I told them on the phone when I made the appt. Then, she says they can't do it now. They schedule 2 to 3 weeks out!! My house closes in less than two weeks and this was part of the sale. They are the slackest so-called business I have yet to encounter in this area, and I have encountered a LOT. She said she was going to call back with an appt for the actual removal....that was an hour ago....no call. Trust your gut. Go with someone else. One that will actually show up and do what they said. read more

This company does a very good job of tree removal. But, don't believe them when they tell you that they will give you free wood chips in the future. My wife and I used this company in 2011. We asked for wood chips numerous times and kept getting the run around. They were never "in the area". A couple of times, they promised bringing us wood chips within a few days, but never did. Nor did they apologize. We finally gave up and had to purchase wood chips from Lowe's. We also filed a complaint with BBB, which went unresolved. read more
