It's located on Patricia Lake, which is a non-motorized, small, beautiful lake. They rent out small boats if you don't have your own! We love coming here with the pup and they're very welcoming to her. They have a small dog park and dog beach. The sites are well kept and clean. The bathrooms are cleaned often and no complaints there. We will continue to use this as our main campground!

It is 95% seasonals including many mobile homes. Owners are never around and seldom is anyone in or at the office. Upon checking out, they never asked how our stay was. The sites are all sand like a beach. In fact, there was more sand at our sites than at the beach which is very small. The lake is cute but when you're in the north woods, that's not hard to find. The shoreline (grass area) hasn't been mowed in weeks. The bathroom was disgusting- moldy and mildewy with mice and all. Yet you have to pay for showers? We showered in our camper and avoided the bathroom. Never once did we see anyone come clean it either. Quiet hour- no such thing here. People get loud after 10 and nobody cares.

MUCH more crowded MUCH closer to neighbors MUCH more expensive MUCH to many large trees with canopies that shade the sites AND provide ample amounts of tree sap on everything. WAY to many people making way to much noise without regard for neighbors. WAY to many people on a site. Rarely did anyone express a "hello" or any common civility. Camping sure isn't what it used to be..!

You couldn't even sit in it for fear of what you may be sitting on. The outside of the camper was just as disgusting. I guess it never occurred to the campground owners to power wash it. I spent at least two hours cleaning and disinfecting the camper that we were told was new. Lies. If I was on this trip alone, I would have left immediately. Reluctantly I paid my bill - almost $200 a night! I still feel like disputing with my charge card company because we were lied to and taken advantage of. Not sure how they live with themselves renting this camper to people. When I went to the office to complain, they had the nerve to tell me it was cleaned. I am not an idiot.

The camp map needs a lot to be desired since the sited are placed among the trees. We stayed three nights and should have stayed longer. Boulder Junction 10 miles away and Walmart 17 miles away. BJ is a long ride on a half day rental, so maybe just think about stopping half way and stopping by the rest area on the lake. They also offer canoes and rafts. In town they have a self serve e-bike stand, which is owned by this place but sometimes bikes are all gone

With the new ownership of this campground, they appear to be going above and beyond to be sure their campground is updated. We chose this campground in 2015 and are so pleased that we did. The host is easy to work with but assures that all the campers are treated well and the owner continues to improve the campground. We love having the entire Chain O'Lakes at our disposal. The golf course is just down the road, so when we have guests they an golf also. Several of their docks are new and improved. Also, having the Tiki Bar so close offers food and a fun place to hang out if you just need something different. It was absolutely the right choice for us.

Rented a camper there three years ago and it was messy and had food in the kids area. Told the…read moreowners and they didn't care so we cleaned it up. New owners took over so we gave the campground another chance. Rented a pontoon boat for half the day but wasn't able to get on it until an hour after our time because "there wasn't someone certified to bring the boat around for check in" never received an hour extended on to our time to make up for the hour lost. Rented it out the next day and when we turned it back in they said there was a bunch of stuff damaged to it but there wasn't. They showed me a small rubbed mark on a cushion that I never noticed and no one was even in that area of the boat. They said the whole cushion would need to be replaced but after arguing about it they settled on me just paying them 80 dollars. We had no intentions of ever returning but this year a family member wanted to use our boat for when they camped there so we drove there to drop it off and spend the day. They rented a dock but still had to pay a boat launching fee which is crazy because if you use a dock, of course you have to launch your boat. They used the floating docks and there was no tie offs to tie the boat to so they had to use the poles of the dock. This campground is money hungry!! Was with the old owners and still is with the new owners. This review is from the summer of 2023 which involves the new owners and not the old owner (Heather)

We really enjoyed our stay at Peaceful Pines. It seemed like a campground for true campers --…read morequiet, nice sites, and no waterpark or pool. Who needs a pool when you're basically across the boat launch parking lot from Eagle Lake? The staff was beyond friendly and the self service model for wood and ice with Venmo and cash options was great. It was a smaller campground but had everything you truly needed, plus the option of renting one of their two pontoons. As much as is possible with a boat, it came with white glove service. They put it in the water for you and when you were done at the end of the day you gave them a call and they came and loaded it back up. Matt was awesome and gave some recommendations for spots to stop while out on the water. It couldn't have been an easier way to explore the Eagle River chain. We would definitely stay again and play try out their small cabin options at some point.
