We had an arranged tree removal with another person, only to be called twice for delay reasons. We then called Jewel Tree & Timber. Jonah walked our lots and we spent time to review issues and determine what was best. The day came for our removal and the team was spot on time, which I did not expect for the Hawaii area lifestyle. From the moment of arrival to the end of the very long day, these guys were SPOT on. They know their stuff and guided very tall trees to fall safely away from our home. It was wickedly wild to see these massive objects fall to the ground and then feel the entire earth shake from the weight. I'm so impressed and since this area is non insurable we decided to protect our investment the best way possible and removing trees too close to the house and those shedding too much on to our catchment tank was mandatory. If I could describe the effort, the body strength, the tenacity of this crew to do as much as they did, quickly and efficiently, I really could not describe it in words, properly. I can only say that I am impressed. Would I use Jonah's company again, YES in a heart beat and no question. Why am I leaving a Yelp comment, because I normally don't do this, but I really want to promote this company to anyone questioning tree removal. Very fair on price for all the work done, very fair. They deserve good reviews because they did a job well done. Thank you to Jonah, thank you to all his team for the work done on our home and taking care of all the details, far too complicated for anyone to attempt on their own and I would highly suggest that trees do need to come down by a professional crew like these guys.

Friendly, show up on day they say yet will not text to give an approximate time in case you'd like to be away from the noise "Because time taken to text might mess w/ my schedule." Any garden task beyond doing lawn is crazy priced! Example; $30 wanted for trimming of ONE bush barely out of shape, no thorns. Took our new person 10mins. Estimate for getting rid of cane grass "On right side of our house" turned out to include just 1/2 of weed menace on rt side of house. Giving benefit of doubt that I misunderstood his definition on "Right side of house." Owner is all about using poisons to solve weed problems. Not our style & he respects but we did allow on cane grass in empty lot next to us. Never expected eye-sore dying brown grass left behind after allowing would not be carted away on next visit. I have pictures & emails to back up these claims if you need. In Shades of Green Hi defense, it IS proclaimed as Lawn Care in title. Maybe all they are good for as mentioned in title of biz. However, Chris told us NO to every 3wk scheduling of lawn. "That would mess with my schedule." Thus 3 stars. He seems to care more about himself than customers.
