July 1st comes and goes and the work isn't done, and he's not responding to emails and phone calls. We send certified letters and he finally gets back to us in early August and offers us a refund, which we accept. And now he's back to not responding to emails- so we're out $5000 and starting the small claims process. Would not recommend giving him money until he's actually done the job.
