I and my neighbors in Eagle Crest have used Arbor one tree service several times and I found them to be very competent and reliable.

Arbor1 did a fantastic job coordinating the removal of the very large tree in my tiny backyard. Evan and Gabriel did a flawless job! They made it look easy working in that space and getting all the limbs brought out front without any damage to property, through the narrow side of my house. When they were done they cleaned, swept, and blew off any remaining dust to where I think it was cleaner than when they arrived. I was also charged 1/2 of what I thought it was going to be so I couldn't be happier. read more

Ultimately, they removed my tree and ground the stump. That being said, the communication as to when they would arrive and the fact they use separate teams for cutting and the grinding was non existent. I had to call them more than once to figure out what is going on. Also, they 'filled' their chainsaws on my lawn and spilled fuel all over the place, killing my lawn in spots. Not cool. read more

Justin and Trampus from Arbor1 did a great job understanding my requirements then quickly and carefully climbing and pruning two pines and a juniper. They made smart suggestions on how to accomplish the goal of a clear path for our ham radio antennas. They left the yard cleaner than when they arrived - again. Disappointing experience. Very poor communication, they were busy and Mike said they wouldn't be available until late September, early October. Understandable; however, after trying to contact several times, there was no further response. I was able to contact a more professional service, Central Oregon Tree Xperts, who scheduled my job within 2 weeks. They did the work this morning. I'm very happy with the result. read more

My husband and I called several arborists for quotes before selecting Mike and Arbor 1. Their quote was in line with others, even a bit more reasonable, but what I really liked was the fact that Mike really took the time to walk our property and explain each step before providing a bid. We knew we needed to remove 4 trees but there was a 5th that we weren't sure what to do with. Mike is very knowledgeable about Central Oregon trees and gave us a couple of options for dealing with the 5th tree. We had 4 trees removed, 3 of which had to be removed with a crane. The crew arrived just after 8am on a Friday to do some prep work before the crane arrived at 9am. They were very professional, experienced, and all around great guys that worked their tails off all morning. Before noon they had removed the trees, none of which were easy. (Another company that provided a high bid told us it would be a 2 day job.) When Mike and his crew left, they had cleaned up so thoroughly I could hardly tell they'd been there. Arbor 1 Tree Service, Arbor 1 Tree Service did a fantastic job on our apple tree!! The guys arrived on time, talked with me about the plan and asked me if I was okay with some of their decisions before they began cutting. They took the time to explain their reasoning behind their cutting choices as well as educating me on how I can help care for the tree in the future. The tree had some old damage from broken branches in the past as well as poor pruning (on my part) that made the tree unwieldy and prone to branch damage when heavy with fruit. The tree team that came to our house were able to correct the floppy vulnerable branches, the broken branches, the errant weird branches that were a result of my pruning attempts all while reshaping the tree into a lovely specimen of Honeycrisp Goodness!! A great experience--again. Mike out and we went over numerous areas to prune,remove etc. told him we were leaving for a couple of weeks. Schedule later. While we were gone we received a call they were in the area and could do all of it-- now. We told them to go for it. An e mail followed with if all not well when we returned they'd be back. I don't like to give bad reviews but I must put it out there. I asked the guys to grind 4 stumps below ground. Mike sends a guy to cut the stump and grind it. The key word is below ground! well I had already dug one of the stumps out way below ground that one was ground below grade. The only problem with that one was I had to use my own chain saw gas and oil to cut it off they had a saw that the blade was so bad it wouldn't cut so I cut the stump off for him. I t was late so the young said he would be back to finish. Next time he shows up and grinds the remaining stumps he leaves them 4 to 6 inches above ground. i was not happy at all the one thing I had said was below grade. So I talked to Mike and he was not nice about it. so I still need to hire a pro to remove the stuff they left after $400.00 was paid to do the job. I have my own business so I do understand customer service. I over deliver in all I can do. so no I would not use them again. and I sugest you do t either. Bill read more

When Mike's team came out to do the work they did not have the complete order so 2 of the items included in his bid were not done. Mike did a fantastic job of correcting this by sending out his best workers who trimmed until I was completely satisfied. In fact I had to ask them to stop as they were doing far more than was included in the price. Mike came out twice to add 2 more services and only charged me an additional $20. I think the mark of excellent service is how they handle even minor mistakes. read more

They did a great job pruning my trees and left my yard cleaner than it was when they arrived. The three workers were hard working, pleasant, and respectful of my property. Arbor 1 Tree Service trimmed two trees for me. Three guys came over. Two worked on a crab apple and another worked on an apple. The crabapple turned out great. The apple looks like it was trimmed by someone who didn't know what they were doing. Main branches were cut mid-branch, suckers coming out of the main branches that were cut were left sticking in all directions. It made no sense how it was done and it looks terrible. When I called head honcho Mike, he immediately became defensive on the phone but said he'd come over and look at it. First I complimented him on how awesome the crabapple looked. Then I took him to the apple and pointed out all the problems I saw with it. He wouldn't give an inch. He told me I was getting too caught up in the aesthetics, told me a "certified arborist" did the job and implied I didn't know what I was talking about. He said he'd take some more limbs off if that would make me happy, but I felt really condescended to and didn't take him up on the offer. I had to borrow a saw from a friend to finish the job and clean it up a little because I couldn't stand looking at it. I don't recommend Arbor 1 Tree Care. It's like a crap shoot--they may do a good job, but they may do a crappy job. And if they do a crappy job, no one will admit it and it won't get fixed. read more

I had a tree with a split trunk. I wasn't sure whether it could be saved or had to be removed. Mike from Arbor 1 was honest in his estimation that it had to be removed (as was the opinion of several other arborists who reviewed the situation). I went with Arbor 1. The tree was in a difficult position adjacent to the house. They did a terrific job taking down the tree carefully and cleaning up the site without damaging any other trees or the house.
