During the evaluation, the therapist didn't feel comfortable proceeding without a specific doctor's release. Even though I already had a referral from my PCP, I respected her professional judgment and went through the effort of obtaining the additional clearance. The real issue started after I secured the release. I called the office to finally get started with my treatment and was told the therapist would call me back to schedule. That was over two weeks ago, and I haven't heard a word since. To be clear, this review isn't about the quality of the physical therapy itself - since I never actually got to receive any - it's about being ghosted by a healthcare provider after jumping through every hoop they requested. If you're looking for a reliable schedule and professional communication, I'd suggest looking at the many other PT options in the area instead.

I know that's a requirement of many health clinics, but his is clearly a 'new' business (open less than a year) and it shows in many ways. When I got there he then told me his staff let him know that my healthcare provider wasn't accepted by his practice...when I called my Tufts Managed Care provider they said he was. He mentioned something about Medicare only pays him $29/visit. He would much rather people just pay him in cash. I don't even know if that's legal for him to refuse me service for that reason. I provided him with screenshots from the Tufts website proving that he was in fact on my plan and he still balked - then said he would have to check with his staff again to make sure. How insulting and unprofessional. He never even had the courtesy to get back to me. Anyway, though he's a little full of himself, he seems to know what he's doing.
