In another complexity, the auto title had passed from my aunt to her trust, making it doubly difficult to find a company that would insure the car. Michael responded to my inquiry immediately and worked to find a solution to my issues: New policy, Trust ownership, sufficient liability protection, and advice on temporary storage. I was insured in less than 2 hours after my initial conversation after having spent a full day looking for help. The follow-up from Michael has been speedy and attentive. I received my printed materials within a few days from State Farm and he checks in regularly to make sure we have the right coverage in place. He has been an amazing insurance agent in the short time I have known him.

I didn't get one reply to my emails. So, I called today and Kristin is not available (owner). I spoke with Gaby who who not helpful at all. I wanted her to quote another company but didn't even get that far. Because of the slow customer service I now told her that now I didn't want to renew and I'd find another agency. She didn't care at all and was happy to get me off the phone. No discussion, she just hung up. I guess they don't need my business.

We also find great value knowing that our representitive Mike P. and his team Kristen G. Kim and all the others working behind the scenes live and work right here in our home town of Naples. These are wonderful people who help with any questions any time but especially when bad things happen...which happened to us with IRMA. They were the #1 recommendation from our realtor who we found invaluable and trusted on many levels in buying our Naples home. We carefully shopped around and choose to have our insurance policies home, hazard, flood and auto with them. We also prefer to review our policies every year for coverage, risk and cost and if necessary switch to another insurance product. They are very patient and make sure to explain things in such away that we understand our options in confidence which included changing to a different auto insurance company last year. We just renewed all our policies this month for the 4th year. Given all the changes in the the economy and adjustments in our personal budget we have decided not to cut back on insurance. Like others here in Naples we were impacted by IRMA in many ways. Mike and his team proved their committment to customer service with genuine personal concern and easy to understand advice each step of the way which by the way DOES start with having the RIGHT policies. Perhaps if we were reading reviews for the best companies with quality affordable products that there would be a part of us that would also feel that of all the things we CAN'T control these days that we just might decide to contact the Galt Insurance Group to see how they would help protect our family and property because of something we shared in our review with you. IF you are still reading our review up to this point chances are that like us you may have made both good and maybe even some very bad insurance decisions over the years. Learning to prioritize that there is nothing more important than having a sincere and responsive team comes from the school of hard knocks for some of us. Know your team before you sign, make sure they know all your needs and concerns and get references. They need to be accessible, timely and know how to minimize specific impacts to your personal loss, financial set backs let alone all the stress for you and your family. IT truly is about putting the right people in place who know YOU not just your policy number. We hope this helps, the right agent and right policies should help not hurt you...again we highly highly recommend these nice local folks.

I am writing this review specifically regarding just one of the agents at Galt Insurance, Lindsey…read moreRounds. Ms Rounds poor communication skills and lack of organization resulted in my home owner's insurance being cancelled without me being notified. My home in Naples was uninsured for over four months and I had absolutely no idea. I feel very fortunate that nothing happened to my house during this time, it could have been disastrous. Feeling panicked I asked if the policy could be reinstated and was told that they do not insure uninsured homes! Ms Rounds assistant claimed that emails had been sent pertaining to the cancelation. None were sent. No phone calls were made. They claimed the insurance company contacted me by email, which they had not. I do not live in Naples full time and apparently a letter had been sent which of course I didn't receive. I have finally received the reimbursement from the insurance company for the premium paid for the discontinued coverage. I would also like to point out that the inspection for this policy was in April and I was not notified of needed roof repairs until three weeks before they needed to be complete. They we're completed and photos were sent to her office as required. As a side note, my new carrier State Farm completed inspection and had results to agent within two days. Either this agency needs more reliable inspectors or Ms Rounds simply failed to notify me of inspection results until the last minute (after I had gone north for the summer and had to scramble to make the repairs.) My gut tells me the latter occurred. I have waited a week to write this review, thinking I might hear from Lindsey Rounds apologizing for this incident. I have not heard from her, hence this very negative review on perhaps the worst negligence in customer care I have ever experienced.
