I regret working with AR Saunas. I paid for a "custom sauna" that is unusable: it leaks water when it rains, has visible holes in the back wall, and the included heater can't reach standard sauna temperatures.
None of these issues were disclosed. Standard sauna walls are usually 1.5"-2" thick. Mine? Just 0.75". I provided photo evidence to AR Saunas showing the water damage and poor construction.
When I raised my concerns, I was told it was my fault for not doing more "research"--and that "saunas aren't waterproof." Let that sink in: I was sold a structure meant to trap heat and humidity, yet it wasn't designed to keep water out.
I tried to resolve this directly. The contractor offered a partial refund or a different heater--neither of which addresses the real problem. There was no accountability, just blame-shifting.
I chose AR Saunas based on the glowing reviews. I now question how many of those reflect real, long-term customer satisfaction.
My advice:
* Ask the specs--especially the heater
* Confirm the wall thickness
* Ask if rain will get in
* Don't send a large e-transfer without guarantees in writing read more
