Kid #2 surprisingly ate over half of the pizza - I don't know how that happen, as the pizza came out way fancier than she likes with green things on top (as she described) - kid #2 is a grilled cheese girl and she went outside of her comfort zone and ate it - I tasted a piece and I thought it was delicious!

A large window is in front of the people waiting for flights. You can get some great views of planes arriving and departing from there. This is a great airport to arrive to as a start of your adventure to not only great spots like Belleisle Bay, but also the city of Saint John and Bay of Fundy. The Bay of Fundy has the highest tidal change in the world. There is a 16.8-metre (55-foot) tidal range in some areas. The photos that show boats tide to a dock before and after the tides are amazing. A bit of history is on display here that you will see as you walk to the exit. There you will see a large variable pitch propeller developed by W.R. Turnbull, who was born and buried in Saint John, NB. I like these little historical vignettes in the towns I've visited in my lifetime.

Security manages to create long line ups, even when there's only a dozen passengers for the next plane because they are so slow and inefficient. If you're on a connecting flight through Saint John, be cautious if you have any liquids bought after security at your departure airport. Here they make you deplane, walk past the terminal waiting area, and exit land-side. Only to immediately turn left and have to clear security again. There's no waiting directly in the secure zone between flights. So that bottle of water you bought, or bottle of wine, or souvenir maple syrup, yup, they're all taken off you to the gleeful pleasure of the security agents. This being said, the staff working for Air Canada are very friendly and helpful. It's too bad the rest of the terminal's staff lets them down.

The room we stayed in was out back in the carriage house...very warm and cozy and clean. Just what we needed. They even allowed us to use their washer/dryer to do laundry. They gave us tips on what to see in St John and where to eat--check out Britt's Pub! The breakfast was one of the best on our trip...homemade cinnamon rolls, an egg casserole, fresh fruit, and good coffee. Loved getting to know Cheryl and Dwight and the other guests. The room was very reasonably priced and the location is a short walk from the heart of St. John. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely go back.

A huge plus in this business. The room we had was full of old items to match the style of the building. Our only issue was that the beds were very high and hard to get in or out of. Our room had a single and a double and the single had two box springs as well as a full sized mattress on the old wood frame. I realize they did this so the two beds would look the same height but it was a challenge to get in to. A very tiny bathroom was in the room which was nice but the shower was very small so if you need space to move around in there you may want to stay in a different room which may have a larger shower stall. The included breakfast was French Toast & Fruit with Bacon on the side. Huge portions and very tasty. We went out to get latte's as soon as we got up as The Earl of Leinster only offers drip coffee and we are addicted to coffee with more teeth then drip can achieve. I would recommend this cute little B&B if you are looking for accommodation in downtown St John.

This B&B is located in such a fabulous house with lots of history, and both Terri and Mercer are happy to talk about the history and renovations - and boy can they talk!. We stayed in one upstairs room and a fabulous room in the basement (the original dining room). Both rooms has private bath, which is great. The house is clean, breakfast was filling (lots of fruit - yay!) and the hosts were more than willing to help us with activities, places to eat, etc. They also provide laundry machine to guests at no charge, which was a huge help for us. One downside is parking, there is no parking on site but there is parking one block away in a church parking lot. Not great when you have a lot of luggage.

The charming old building is in a neighborhood where some of the fine old mansions have been renovated while others need repair and look run-down. This one is a handsome brick building just a few blocks from excellent seafood restaurants and the waterfront. The hosts, who have just bought the B&B recently, are sweet and personable. Our room was big and beautiful with gorgeous wood floors. Our room was not en suite, but we got a huge, stunning old bathroom (with a huge jacuzzi) a few doors away that was only for us and that we could keep locked. The bed was comfortable and the whole place was completely quiet at night. And in the morning, while eating a well-cooked, delicious breakfast of eggs and sausage (guests get a choice of breakfast dishes), we met several fascinating guests and enjoyed the conversation with them and the owners tremendously. Staying here was a real treat.

Ultimately I picked Fundy Heights and kept my fingers crossed. It was a GREAT choice. Kathleen was a fine host and our room was perhaps the most spacious of our two week vacation in the Maritimes. I can heartily endorse this B&B. The bed was comfortable, there was lots of room to spread out, it was easy to find, plenty of parking, and it is in a great location just few minutes walk or drive from Reversing Falls. Kathleen also prepares an excellent and hearty breakfast (and great coffee). We were fortunate to share breakfast and conversation with several other guests from around the world. Truly memorable.
