It cost about $1100, and took a few weeks, to replace the heating element and pump. I stopped talking at any length with the technician because he had a habit of lecturing in a condescending manner. The heating element has been fine, but the pump failed about four months after installation after vibrating loudly for some time. Because it was still under warranty, it was replaced, again after a few weeks, but the new one failed the same way after 18 months (out of warranty). After watching a couple of YouTube videos I learned that replacing the pump is not difficult, so decided to do it myself. I got the best brand pump available (Balboa, used by spa manufacturers, about $350), and some O-rings locally, and it went in fairly smoothly. I found that the pump was attached with two screws (should be four) and it was still using the original 15-year-old anti-vibration pad, which was old and hard, and I replaced. I do not intend to use Albuquerque Spa Repair again.

After doing some digging I discovered he charged me $800 for a repaired, not factory refurbished, one or new like I was lead to belove did not return my calls when I first noticed the errors it started giving. I changed the temp sensors hoping that was the issue but it looks like the issue might be one of the previously repaired relays on the control board. I have used hector in the past, never had a bad experience other than communication until this time around.

Sunrise did such a great job I hired them to do some concrete repair and had them add a concrete slab for a storage shed as well. I will say that there were a couple of mistakes made with plumbing which have been fixed. I called, Jesus and his guys came over as soon as they could and got everything fixed. Our pool turned a sickly green and despite our best efforts we weren't able to get the water back to a healthy state. I called NM Pools and Spas and they were able to fit us in quickly. They came, tested the water and did their best to see if it could be chemically treated. Unfortunately we needed to dump the water and start from scratch. They emptied the pool, did an acid wash, changed out the sand in our filter and made the process of refilling the pool as easy as possible. For every appointment, the gentleman who were performing the maintenance/cleaning were on time and absolutely pleasant to work with. They spend time to explain every step of the process and were happy to answer all of my questions. We're very pleased with the services we received and the cost, to me was very reasonable. When I told her I had already had to rework my schedule, she mentioned that maybe I should go somewhere else. She mentioned the names of other pool companies. I will never request anything from this company again. I was ready to put in a pool with a hot tub. I guess they just have so much business they don't need the money.
