I used a Groupon for the 2hr deluxe pampering spa package. I booked my appointment after several attempts by phone 2 months prior, but didn't receive the usual confirmation email or call the day prior to the appointment. So I decided it was best to confirm via email before finding out it wasn't happening. I asked, "I want to make sure that you will be there for my appointment today." Perhaps it's a difference of cultures, but I also found the attitude within the email extremely unprofessional and rude. The direct quote of the reply i received was "Why wouldn't I if I have scheduled the appointment in my appointment book." I was so shocked I almost canceled my appointment 45 minutes before the treatment. Anyways, I gave the lady a chance. I arrived 10 minutes late and we went straight to the treatment room. The room was clean however the sheet on the treatment table was extremely small and barely covered me as I laid under it. The person at the desk was the only person working and also the treatment provider. She didn't introduce herself but did explain the process of the day. There was some contemporary music playing on the radio in the background in a different language. She used a grapeseed oil based with 5 types of essential oils for the body full massage. I received a really great full body exfoliation with a sea salt with shea butter and essential oils scrub. My skin was extremely soft after showering in their facilities. Afterward, I received the finishing body lotion but only realized I never received the body mud wrap once I was home and referred to the list of services I should have received. The facial was a very basic 30 minute cleanse with about 5 steps. No extractions or steam. My favourite was the hydration lotion that was left on for 15 minutes before being cleaned off. There wasn't much explanation of what was being used unless asked. All in all the treatment was decent. My skin looked and felt great all day. Got a Groupon for this, otherwise would've never known it was here. Booked the appointment for the next day and they could fit me in promptly. When I arrived the lady took me to the back and explained the order of things that would be done. Started off with the massage, followed by the sea salt scrub (well worth it!!) and then a quick shower before I was moisturized all over. The shower was clean and towels/bathrobe/slippers were provided. After this she explained the process of an oxygen facial (never had one before) and got to work before finishing with a relaxing mask. All in all this was a fun experience for me since I rarely have a spa day and after 2 hours I came out feeling totally refreshed and relaxed. read more

Got the groupon. Have tried calling 6 times to no avail leaving messages and playing phone tag, never reaching a person to ever book the appointment. Will be following through with Groupon to try and refund my purchase. read more

NEVER GOING BACK THERE EVER AGAIN. Bought package from Groupon and had to wait for the service 30 mins. Not only I waited to book an appointment for 2 months, the lady was very rude and working alone. She didn't even explain why I had to wait 30 mins at spa or say sorry so I thought she will explain something to me and tell me what is going on. So waited next to her while she was looking at the appointment book, then she told me just go and seat. And asked me why am I standing next to her while she was rolling her eye at me. I told her thought she will say something about delay issue and she said things happen so just go and seat. Then said what is MY problem. Really lost the word what to say by her attitude so told her about her attitude toward customer and delayed service without explaination. She said she doesn't have attitude problem but I do. To a person who was waiting for the answer of delayed operation. I never got delayed service at any other spa or poor customer service like this. When I told her that, I have a problem to get a service. Wow. Really?? She didn't even give me the documents that I usually fill out when I go to spa to checkup why am I there for massage and about my health issue. I was so upset by the way that she looked at me so cancelled the appointment on that spot and just came out. She said "okay by all means. I don't care." DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Terrible service; there is only one lady working and she's the one that gives the massages. The place doesn't look like a spa, but more like an apartment converted into a "spa" with thin walls and doors. During my 1 hour there, there were no other customers there. The lady was extremely rude on the phone, which should have been a good indication of what was to follow, but I didn't want to waste my Groupon. When I asked for an RMT receipt, I was told that deep tissue massages don't get RMT receipts. read more

I was given the opportunity to experience what ended up being a truly personable SPA experience. The service and comfort level of this establishment is quite unique. Vera, the sole owner and treatment provider of this one-of-a-kind salon really made me feel at ease and enjoy the privacy and complete focus during the procedures. The intensity and quality of Swedish massage exceeded my previous experiences with an RMT. The facial which I'm not quite used to seriously got me hooked. I will most certainly be back and I have recommend this place to all my friends. I cannot believe such a place is located in the heart of Yorkville, truly a gem. read more

Lovely, relaxing experience. I was taken in the moment I arrived in salon. Each step of the Groupon 2 hour pampering package was explained in a gentle, non-intrusive manner. The treatment provider devoted the full 2 hours to me with essential oils, soothing body massage + body scrub (highly recommend) + body lotion applied via more massage after Spa shower with luxurious products and robe. This was followed by a gentle facial with exfoliation, mask + hydrating products. I certainly glowed when I left the salon. Extractions with the facial would have enhanced the experience for me because it allows my skin to breathe. It did take a couple of months beyond my phone call to get a booking and I did have to call a few times to speak in person but she told me not to worry about the Groupon expiry date and indeed it was honoured.
