As a child I would probably have told you I loved Aqua Pets, I got a hamster here when I was around 8 and the man serving us couldn't have been lovelier. However with age my opinion of Aquapets has very much changed.
Despite its name, Aquapets sells a variety of animals including rodents, reptiles, birds, and of course, tropical fish (though not larger household pets such as cats and dogs). In addition to the animals, the shop also stocks many items including cages, tanks, food, collars, bowls etc...
My main problem with Aquapets, is the size of the store, it's tiny! All the stock appears quite cluttered, and whilst I'm sure the animals are all in suitably sized cages, it just doesn't feel right (it's certainly ironic that there's an RSPCA shop opposite it). So if you're after an animal, or any pet gear, I'd personally go to Pets at Home, it's far less depressing. read more
