I've hobbled over this work of art on several occasions. Brindley Place's Central Square and incredibly high-heeled shoes don't work well together.
Aquaduct is a fairly inoffensive bit of public art, with two large sections of bronze in the shape of an aquaduct. The rise up from a base that resembles contour lines on a map, with three curving tiers (these are what I tend to trip up on).
The sculpture is by Miles Davies and was unveiled in 1995. It isn't the most exciting example of public art, but is a nice tribute to the role of canals in the industrial heritage of the area. read more
