Easy walk past the outdoor pool to the beach. Nice floorplan layout. Unfortunately, there were many items that were not great. Every remote control either had dead batteries, or no batteries at all. The master bedroom bathroom toilet ran every 45 seconds, which is really annoying. The hall bathroom toilet seat was really loose and the sink clogs. The garbage disposal was not working, and there were stinky things in there that smelled up the entire unit. The floor trim that divides the dining area from the living room was busted. The cleaning was not that well; a babies bib was left on the balcony, cereal was on the floor behind the night stand and walking around in white socks left them black.

Condo was clean and comfy, felt homey and welcoming. I had only one small issue with our place, are you ready for this one? The doors in the second bedroom were squeaky, both bathroom doors and bedroom door not just a little squeak but loud squeaky. You don't want squeaky doors when you are trying to sneak out early before anyone else is awake. Beautiful view of the ocean. Pool was directly below our condo. I was worried this would be an issue with noise but it wasn't. I liked it because I could see when it was a good time to enjoy the pool area. Made many walks to the pier, walking distance to several restaurants. I will look first at Sea Oats when we return to Ft Walton.

The unit was decorated nicely and most importantly, it was very clean. We were comfortable our entire stay, which was 4 days/3 nights. There is an amazing patio overlooking the pool and ocean that doubles as our very own beachside dining location. Publix is right across the bridge and the Fudpucker's Okaloosa Island location is down the street.

This means the beach in front is not crowded like most properties. 2. Great location. The last condo complex as leaving Ft Walton heading to Destin makes it easy to get to either. And walking distance to the pier and boardwalk. 3. Very sturdy well built and quiet. Makes for a relaxing vacation. 4. Great beach with included umbrellas and 2 chairs. 5. Large pool, always clean and nice. 6. Relatively small complex, about 100 units The only negative is that all units are 2 floors, and the bathrooms are all upstairs with the bedrooms. October is our favorite time.

After that, we paid to rent the chairs and umbrellas that are already on the beach. It was just more convenient. The unit has games, large TVs, good WiFi, and a washer and dryer. It was really the perfect space for a vacation for my family of four. There are several great restaurants that are very close. Destin is right up the road. Granted, the inside of the condo needed some minor upgrades but it was still kept up nicely. After all, we came for the beach and Fort Walton is about as beautiful as it gets in the lower 48. Although this complex only offers views to the beach for a small handful of condos because of how it's situated on the beach, you are only steps away from the white sand and emerald waters. There is also a nice indoor and outdoor pool as well as a barbecue area. We stayed for five nights and definitely enjoyed our stay.

Service Review - Vacasa (Island Princess Unit 402)…read more Our stay at Island Princess Unit 402 was largely positive in terms of the condo itself, cleanliness, and location. However, our overall experience was significantly impacted by ongoing construction noise that was not properly disclosed or handled. Vacasa did not disclose ongoing construction at the time of reservation, which is critical information for guests planning a vacation. The first written notice about construction was sent on the morning of January 20--after our stay had already begun. More importantly, after receiving that notice, we spoke directly with a Vacasa agent by phone on January 20 at approximately 11:15 a.m., who assured us that the construction was not taking place in the part of the building where our unit was located. That information turned out to be inaccurate. In reality, construction was occurring directly on the parking ramp below our unit, producing loud, persistent noise for the entire day, every day, during the final five days of our stay. This substantially disrupted what was meant to be a relaxing vacation. We have video evidence documenting the noise both inside and outside the unit. While Vacasa later stated that there were no internal notes documenting our phone conversation, the lack of internal documentation should not negate the guest's experience--especially when the impact was so obvious and prolonged. We believe Vacasa has a responsibility to: * Disclose known construction issues before booking * Provide accurate information when guests inquire * Take accountability when misinformation materially affects a guest's stay This situation was disappointing and avoidable. Future guests should be clearly informed so they can make an educated decision before booking. We hope Vacasa will improve transparency and communication to prevent similar experiences for others.
