Amy contacted me personally soon after I had applied for the scholarship & got me enrolled & ready to go. Our first time there we were greeted with smiles & our goodie bags. The place is very clean & kid friendly. All the staff is very kind. Everyone I encountered there was good with the kids, cared about the kids & seemed to love their job. Ryanne kept a good eye on my middle child as he is extremely ornery & squirmy. She was awesome with my kids! I can't say enough about Amy, she's a wonderful lady! She interacts with everyone & calls the kids by their names. She walks the edge of the pool checking on everyone & all the things, during lessons. She talked to my boys after every lesson & even teared up on our last one. She gave my boys big hugs telling them she hopes to see them soon. The scholarship that they offer is such a blessing. We wouldn't have been able to afford lessons other wise. My middle child has nearly drowned twice, and now after his lessons I feel he could make his way out of a pool on his own if need be. I've been going the entire time I've been a student at UD, almost 2 years now…read more I mostly use the weight room, track, indoor/outdoor basketball courts, and spa but they have much more including racquetball courts, indoor/sand volleyball courts, indoor/outdoor soccer fields, pool, instructional classes, even recreational and competitive intramural sports. You must be a UD student/staff in order to buy a pass or you can be affiliated with student/staff for a slightly more expensive pass. But all around great gym. Does get a bit crowded around certain times but I've never had a problem in the morning.

They also have inexpensive snacks and drinks available for purchase in the lobby if your schedule gets tight and someone needs a snack. There is a 2nd floor lounge with windows that gives parents and siblings a fantastic view of the kids who are training in the gym or the pool. Love this feature! They had an event credit on our account for 3 years from when we had to cancel a special event enrollment back before he enrolled in classes. Can't recommend this business enough. I had forgotten it but they brought up and honored the credit-- what other business would do that? Our kid is thriving with their instruction.

Maybe some small bleachers by the windows to allow more seating for the parents or grandparents to watch.. And it appears that they are taking away the tall chairs that was seating against the wall.

For example, during the height of Covid an instructor had potentially been exposed and they gave him paid time off to protect the students. With new management I called to let them know my daughter wasn't feeling well (in the height of RSV, flu, Covid) and they told me if she doesn't come we will lose the lesson because it was a makeup. They were fine with her coming in not feeling well. That's not protecting staff or students. I understand policies are in place for a purpose however, when we're dealing with extremely high numbers of sick children I would think they would appreciate parents being responsible and keeping their kids home. Nope! Come on in or your losing your makeup session. I think that's pretty poor management.

They had a promotional bag that they sent home with all the parents. I love that they offer one class for free to see if you and your child like their facility, instructor, and class. My daughter is in the beginner class. They swim for 30 mins one day a week or however many days you have them signed up. They go over basic swimming skills like swimming properly, back floating, black swimming, going under water, and going under water to grab objects. I also like that it's only three kids to a class. I feel this is best for the kids to be able to each get a chance to participate in activities as well as have a little one on one time. Her instructor is Mary and she seems to like her and really be enjoying swim class. They are a little pricy, but when I looked up another school in the area it was about the same price. For one day a week, 30 minutes a class, the price is $88. Overall, I like Goldfish and can't wait to continue to see my daughter excel in swimming.
