That's when I starting to lose trust in the management. The workers were the most helpful. Anytime I needed a question answered they were there to help. "Can you pick up the nails so my harley Davidson would not get a flat?" "Yes, I will get right on that" said the workers. They were great and made the place great. They should get a raise. They were great. The apartment itself was not bad. I got one with new appliances in there but the rug was old and stained up throughout the apartment. It looked like it had not been replaced for years. Counter tops were used with knife marks and the patio was lacking paint. I liked the apartment and would stay in a two bedroom but the management was the problem. For the luxury things like the pool or hot tub was okay. The pool was always cold and sometimes dirty. The hot tub stopped working and was dirty 4 months into my stay. So I used it a few times. Fitness room was never opened. The only thing in used was the business center. Free copies and faxes was great when I did not need to talk to the management. And my daughter loved the playground too. I was there for 6 months and they raised the rent without any thing to give. Unfair to us. So I had enough and left. But if you like poor management, high rent for a place that many people sell and do drugs where management looks a blind eye and nothing works; then this is the place for you. I knew it wasn't the place for me when I walked in my application and there was genitals drawn with chalk on their cement walk ways and the garden was not attended to. The office attendant was adamant that I pay the application fee even though I was unsure. I pled with her that I would pay it if I could get a look even if the room was undergoing renovations. But they wouldn't let me see the product I was potentially buying into. After what I saw, no way I was going through with that.

Management is extremely professional, efficient and just plain helpful. I have been here two years and have NO complaints. The office staff always answers my calls or emails in a timely manner. They take their responsibility as a landlord seriously, if something goes wrong it is remedied immediately and without hassle. When I had a gas leak and the gas company red tagged appliances they were replaced with brand new appliances within 48 hrs. I have had two maintenance emergencies involving plumbing, one of which occurred late at night, and maintenance (who live on the premises) responded within 5 min. All of these issues are ones I could have had anywhere else and not a reflection on the quality of the apartments here what I am trying to convey is that management and maintenance are ON IT! EVERY TIME! The grounds are extremely well maintained, there is a Gardner here 1-2x a week. Maintenance patrols the entire property twice daily in golf carts and cleans anything they come across up. Rules are enforced strictly and thus it is a very very quiet community (the loudest thing is kids playing). There is not a pest problem but we are well maintained by the company's contract with Orkin. They do whatever pest control companies do to keep any pests at bay. I have accidentally left food out while I went to work and NEVER found a single pest of any kind which isn't so common in low income apartment communities sadly. Overall I am honestly hoping some of my family members can get apartments here if they move. It's hard to secure an apartment here because it's a little known secret that this is actually a hidden jewel in Lompoc. Apartments comparable in price here are not even close to as well maintained by Orkin or police. You just cannot find anything else like it I am so blessed to be able to live here!
