EZ cleaned my carpets about 2 years ago, and prior to that, he had been cleaning my carpets for close to 10 years. I am long overdue for a cleaning, but I am looking around for a new carpet cleaner, because my last experience with EZ was horrible. I was always mostly happy with him, his work, and his prices. The quality of his work had slipped over the years, and his prices went up slightly, but I am a loyal customer and vetting a new carpet cleaner is a daunting task that I didn't want to deal with. When I moved into my new place about 2 years ago, the landlord hadn't cleaned the carpets prior to move-in, so I naturally called EZ. About 10 minutes after he was supposed to arrive, he called to tell me he was going to be about 10 minutes late(r). I called him about 30 minutes later to see where he was. He showed up close to 1 hour late. When he arrived, he acted as if I had done something wrong, because I was irritated with him for being incredibly late and unapologetic. I don't know about anybody else, but I certainly don't have the time to waste, nor do I want do deal with a bathroom and kitchen filled with furniture (he didn't move furniture). He was also huffy about the stairs (previously, I had an elevator). After he rushed through the job, he still had not offered any apologies or discounts to make up for his untimely arrival. I told him that a 10% discount would be appropriate. It's not like saving 10 or 15 bucks was going to change my life, or that him losing 10 or 15 bucks was going to break his bank, it was just the right thing to do. I had been using this guy for almost 10 years, and he acted as if I was a complete stranger who was inconveniencing him. I guess I wouldn't have been so upset had he been apologetic, but he wasn't. Skip to about 6 months to 1 year later, and I had gotten over it, mostly, and wanted to get my carpets cleaned again. I called EZ and left him a message. He never called me back. SO Rude! When I started looking for a new carpet cleaner, recently, I was surprised to see that he was still in business. I give Aqua Dri two stars, only for nostalgic reasons, but I would never recommend them. read more
