Karen is such a wonderful person and talented hair cut/stylist professional. She takes the time to understand my hair and what I would like to see. She checks in along the way to make sure I like what she has chosen, and there hasn't been a time where she was wrong. When I say she has attention to detail, I mean the finest of details. She is not your average haircut that uses clipper guards for 60%+ of the haircut. The ambiance is also great. It's a somewhat small studio but that gets you some private time and 1:1 to get a proper haircut and not feel lost in the crowd. read more

Monica has always given my boys and I great cuts! She is consistently awesome and cleans us up good with great fades and a positive experience. This review is for Bobby, who had a very rude tone towards my 6 year old. "I said head up," as he would move my son's head with a quick and firm movement. This happened repeatedly, enough to make my son cry. It doesn't matter how good the cut is when the experience is this crappy. Bobby, you need to cut the bad attitude and not be such a buzzkill. I highly recommend Monica, but do yourself a solid and skip Bobby, who's fading on the whole bedside manner program. read more

Came into get a haircut 10 minutes before they closed and Monica gave me the worst haircut of my life. Super uneven, left hairs by my ears and was cutting so fast she made me look like an idiot. I took my 22-year old son with special needs in to Aptos Haircut recently. He normally has a very high level of anxiety in such settings. However, Monica was very warm and made him feel at ease. She also was very open to listening to a few tips that would make things go better. My son looked horrible, with hair that would fall down to his lips and cover his eyes. OK, I'm lazy and this place is the closest to my house. That said, Gina really does do a better job on my hair than any barber ever has. Nice little place. Seems pretty cheap to me. Less than $20 for men - less for seniors. They've got books for little kids which definitely helped when I brought my young kid in there. You don't have to make an appointment - but I strongly recommend you do. read more

Two chair shop run by sisters who give great haircuts. Costs about 20 bucks unless you're a senior then its less. Mary is my barber and gives a consistent and stylish haircut every time. Gina, the owner and stylist who did my hair, was super friendly and accommodating when I called to see about a last minute appointment. She did a great job on my hair and made sure that I was happy with it. She was also a great conversationalist, which means a lot to me since I usually get my hair done as infrequently as possible to avoid the potential of dealing with a socially awkward hair stylist. My longtime barber retired and a friend suggested Gina. After my first visit to Gina my wife commented that my haircut was the best looking I had ever had. (I look at it once in the morning when I comb it, she looks at it all day.) I now have a standing appointment as her first appointment on Tuesday every four weeks. Not only is the haircut and the price right, the conversation is good. One Tuesday Gina did not arrive for our appointment so I left after waiting 10 minutes. She called me later that morning to say her truck wouldn't start and we rescheduled my appointment for later in that day and then she would not take my payment nor my tip. One classy lady! read more
