They are beyond versatile (do all kinds of iron work), as well as being skilled artisan craftsmen. Sam and his dad (a master iron craftsman) are the loveliest of people-- communicative, honest, easy to deal with, and invested in doing the best work possible. They take great pride in their work. It took me years to find someone who could imagine the kind of railing design I needed for my 1926 uneven unique wall. No one but their company suggested this design and were able to pull it off without a hitch. The pictures speak for themselves. Sam and his dad at Exotic Iron Works transformed our front perimeter into a showpiece. From the…read morefirst on-site consultation they impressed us with thoughtful design suggestions--matching the gentle curve of the street, integrating warm hardwood caps, and spacing the balusters so the planting beds still breathe. Their craftsmanship is flawless: every weld is clean, the powder-coat is even, and the wood inlays sit perfectly flush with the metal frame. Sam's father personally checked each panel for plumb and level, and the team worked long days to finish ahead of schedule without cutting corners. They left the site spotless, even hauling away the old fencing and sweeping the driveway. Beyond the technical excellence, communication was a breeze. Sam texted progress photos, confirmed small details (hinge style, post-top finials) before committing, and honored the original quote to the penny. If you want ironwork that's equal parts art and engineering--delivered by people who treat your project like their own home--hire Exotic Iron Works. The results are stunning, and the experience is just as impressive.

Their site states a 14-day lead time for delivery. I thought it might be delayed because of Xmas so no big deal. After 20 days I did not get an update even after I emailed them. Apparently there was a glitch on their site that charged me the wrong price. I called to complain and Marshall tried to offer me the rails for around $750. No thank you! I would not have left a bad review because of the glitch and if they updated my order but if I did not call them they probably would have kept my $443 and never shipped off my rails! They also delayed me from ordering elsewhere for over 20 days because I was waiting for my order from them. The only reason why I didn't leave 1 star is because Marshall was apologetic and tried to offer me other options but at a price $69% higher than my original quote.
