It was through Dr. Cole that I found out my old dentist was not taking care of my teeth (he not only showed me pictures - it was obvious even to the untrained eye - but I warned my Mom, who used the same bad dentist, and another dentist said she had the same problems with her teeth; this is a genuine criticism, not him trying to drum up business). He not only fixed my teeth, but was gentle with the violation I felt from the discovery of my old dentist's lack of care. He helped me with the extreme costs that I was now going to incur and found a balance between fixing as much as possible at once versus giving my jaw a rest from so much work. He also prescribed a (over-the-counter) treatment to prevent the migraines I was getting from having my jaw open and the spotlights; I still follow his advice before treatments with my new dentist. Honestly, if I hadn't moved out of town, I never would have left! I have a false tooth in my front and he matched it so perfectly to my natural teeth when he replaced it. He has the best eye I have ever seen. I joke with my friends that, next time I need my fake tooth maintained, I am travelling out to see him. If my financial situation allowed a vacation, I would actually do it. He is talented and genuine in his concern for you. Overall, just a great dentist. He surrounds himself with great staff as well.

She was absolutely phenomenal! I returned because of her. She then went on maternity leave and Ashley took over the appointments. I was surprised, she was also amazing! Both of them have a great personality and did a great job. There's TV's on the ceiling, the place seems very clean. Dr. Peter helped me out with my remaining appointments and although I was nervous, he did a great job. I highly recommend this place. And who doesn't want to do a yelp check in for a free teeth whitening gel?

I've never been asked before if I was doing ok during any of the procedures at any dental office until I came here. They also tell you ahead of time what to expect. I was impressed with the care they give. I look forward to going here and I highly recommend it to anyone. I love how they have massage chairs, you can watch TV while getting your teeth cleaned and if you want, you can get a paraffin hand treatment while they work on you. While you wait in the waiting room, you can have a homemade biscotti, coffee, tea or water. I usually grab a biscotti on the way out. It's super clean and everything is high tech. From their website patting themselves on the back for giving one-time free care..."Patients arrived in the wee hours of the morning to line up for free dental care." What they neglect to mention is that it was one of the coldest days of the year, and the patients were not allowed inside. They had to wait outside in extreme cold weather. Most of them, like many of the people who live in Prince Edward County, were elderly. My own experience on that day - I have been looking for a dentist and Picton Dental Centre was under consideration. So I was thinking of going over there to get a free filling and check it out for ongoing treatment, as there was no mention in all their advertising of doing this only for people in need. So I thought it was a Christmas thing where they were doing an act of goodwill. You did not find out that it was only for people in need until you got there and I wonder if some were turned away for that reason. Lucky I checked the weather and decided a polar bear couldn't survive the temp and frosty winds. However, before that I called for info, only to be told by a harassed and unfriendly admin. that I should just go look at the website if I wanted info, she was too busy. She did say to show up very early and to dress warmly I would have to wait outside in the cold. Considering that was minus 20 or even colder, that was a no go right there. I found out later that a few people simply could not tolerate the cold, and after waiting for hours and freezing, with no sympathy or help from the dental office, they left without being treated. It seems a bit arrogant to me to tell poor people you are going to help them, then make them wait in extreme cold weather for hours while the dentists were in a nice warm building. That kind of uncaring attitude caused me to cross this place off my list of potential dentists.
