Called back the next morning to see if I could get store credit, was told perhaps and to come back. I don't live in Burlington so it's about 30 min round trip. Longer story shorter, no dice even when I proposed that if the store credit wasn't used in the next 24 hours = they could keep the smelly jacket AND the credit. Idk what boss/manager wouldn't see the value in this, especially for customer retention- but they didn't. Would have unloaded a bunch of accessory items onto us at worst, and probably spent $ beyond the jacket credit, but oh well ‍ Anything you can find in there you can probably find online for much cheaper, and potentially new. Will not be supporting this small business again, and will use FB market for these type of items in the future. First time customer, last time customer. Simple as that.

Focusing mostly on women's apparel, this store also has a section for menswear and children's clothing and there is even a pretty large selection of home items. The fabrics are mostly florals, with beautiful colors and designs. They are reminiscent of Laura Ashley or Vera Bradley, but with more bold colors and different designs. If there are people with you who are bored with shopping, they can sit down on the main floor and visit with the birds that live in the store. The clearance center has some good deals and there are often items on sale on the main floor, but the real deals are found in the basement. I've seen items priced as low as $20, and there are usually racks of clothing that are 40% off. Most recently, I found some very pretty items that will be put away for future gift giving. There are comfortable dressing rooms, plenty of parking out front and even if you don't buy anything, the atmosphere of this beautiful store is worth the visit.

No greeting, no interest in me as a customer whatsoever. I wasn't alone. Another woman about my age had to chase down a sales person to help her find a sweater in the color she wanted. We looked at each other as what appeared to be the manager fawned over one woman trying on dresses for a wedding, and the other devoted her attention to their "favorite customer" who had come in after we had. I finally said to the other ignored customer, "I must look like I'm not here to buy clothing." I was looking forward to getting some help putting together a wardrobe, and trying things on after a year of online shopping. It's not that hard to get Halston. I went to try them on and found a really cute pair of sandles from the Kork-ease brand that I had never heard of before. When she couldn't get THE dress in my daughter's size, she reached out to her seamstress to see if she could alter it. When the seamstress said she couldn't get it done in time, Sadie said she would hold the dress for a limited time so I could find a different seamstress. Then Jackie, the owner, brought the dress to the Potsdam store to save us having to drive an hour and a half to Plattsburgh. Thank you to Sadie and Jackie for going above and beyond. Seriously. Let's just wait around for 4 hours when we called 8 days in advance so they could have the dress brought from their Potsdam location. Also found out the reason the dress wasn't there when we got there was because they got a deposit on it (a deposit on a dress they were holding for my daughter)and then the girl tried it on and didn't end up liking it. So they tried to sell the dress out from under my daughter and didn't even bother to let her know. They also had very few dresses after we were told they had a lot of prom dresses.
