Instead, I was given a different medication to try without filling my long stand prescription. When I followed up to request the original prescription be reinstated, I was told I would need to come back in for another visit--despite already having been seen. Seeking clarification, I asked to speak directly with the medical director. Instead, I was contacted by the clerical office manager, who was not qualified to discuss or make decisions regarding my medical care. I reiterated my request to speak with the director, a licensed provider. I was told by the office manager, that even when I was seen again, they would not be refilling my prescription--again, without proper clinical justification or involvement from a licensed physician. This experience left me feeling unheard and dismissed. It further eroded my confidence in this offices trading and clinical expertise. I expect a healthcare provider to handle medication management with professionalism, transparency, and respect for patient history. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I will be filing a complaint with the North Carolina Medical Practice.

The receptionist who took my request for a new patient appointment was a joy to speak with. Her warmth could be felt over the phone. The office itself is gorgeous, and easy to access. My hygienist was friendly and very easy going on my teeth, as I hate the scraping feeling. She gave me solid recommendations for doing a little better on my tooth care and was informative. The dentist himself was very reserved when I met him, but polite and kind. He did his exam and recommend a consult service but in no way did I feel pressured to have to follow through with it. That was a nice gesture. Overall, really quite happy with my first visit and looking forward to future visits.

I went there and my wait time in the waiting room was no more than 20 minutes in fact I didn't have all my papers filled yet when they called me to go to exam room. They asked all the right questions and come up with a plan according to my symptoms. They did CT scan, blood work, X-rays, and ultra sound for possible blood clots in my legs, along with a breathing treatment for my COPD. With everything they had done I was offered to stay the night or go home. I chose home but in all I was there about 4 hours. YRMC made me sit in waiting room 4.5 hours and I was never taken to exam room I got up and walked out.
