This was my first B&B experience and I really enjoyed it. My husband and I and another couple came for the weekend.
We found Apprill's by searching online for a place to stay during our visit to Hermann, MO for Oktoberfest. We chose this place because of it's location, within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, a brewery and winery. It was also reasonably priced, but did have a two night minimum stay during Oktoberfest.
They have three suites and a loft. We were in suite 2 with two bed rooms, one full bath and a kitchen/living room combo. It was cute and cozy. The building was old, but had been kept up. We got confused my the thermostats and woke up in a sauna in the middle of the night, but got it under control.
They provided some basic breakfast items: milk, oj, banana bread, cereal and bananas. It would have been nice to see some homemade items or least eggs to make for breakfast.
The living area was small, only a love seat and chair with a small tv in the corner. The tv didn't have cable, but there was a dvd player. The bedrooms where average size with an adjoining door. The beds were queen size, but not very comfortable. I didn't sleep well either night.
Overall we were happy and comfortable here. Our trip was more about exploring the town, shops, and wineries so we didn't spend much time in our suite. Next time I visit I may consider another place to stay just because this place was incredible.
If you plan to come during Oktoberfest, you'll need to book about 8 months in advance because the town is small and places fill up quick. read more
