The office staff at the Colonial Heights location are all wonderful!!! Trying to reach the billing department is another story!! A person simply CANNOT get through, PERIOD. I have called for daysssss, the line just rings and rings and rings until it just simply disconnects you. I am sure by now my bill has been sent to collections which totally S__ks because I am more than capable of paying my bills...THEY JUST WON'T LET ME. It is not worth the aggravation to use this facility. read more

DON'T GO THERE!!! 7 days and still my doctor has no report from Appomattox Imaging. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else. Don't wast your time with this company. They don't care about their customer. Cant understand how they stay in business. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! read more

I really like Appomattox Imaging. It's very pleasant. It's kept clean and inviting, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is never crowded or rushed, and everything I have had done here was completed in a timely manner. The parking is ample. The Covid measures, as of this writing in February 2023, are still in place. Every effort is made to make patient's comfortable. The equipment, to a lay person, seems up to date. I feel confident with the results. Getting records and images to give to other doctors is a breeze. Everyone is helpful, and the office is excellent at communicating with both patients and providers. read more

If you can go anywhere else, literally - go anywhere else. In 2018, 2019 and 2020, I had breast cancer and their equipment showed nothing. I had to go somewhere else to get an orange size lump confirmed as cancer. Now, in 2026, it took 8 referrals from 3 different doctors over a 1.5 year time frame to get an appointment set up for 2 different follow up, make sure you are ok, tests set up. They refused to see me, because I was 2 minutes late to my appt. They were too busy taking walk ins!!! Insanity read more

Had an appointment last week and was called 1 hour before to cancel because the tech was out. Went for my rescheduled appointment . Signed in and sat down. 40 minutes later I am told that the tech is still out and I need to reschedule. I asked why wasn't I called prior to my appointment. The 3 people working the front desk said in unison "we are short handed". Very rude unprofessional. This is unacceptable. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Did my every 3 year mammogram told me they would call and give results. NEVER called. When I called them they said call your Doctor. My doctor said they NEVER called them or e-mailed results. read more

Rhonda at sign in desk is extremely rude, unprofessional, unpleasant and seems to not do her job properly. I was given the wrong paper work even after stating what I was there for. I know at least two other patients after me were given the wrong papers as well and were treated extremely poorly and not just by Rhonda. I'm not sure what they could do to improve but I promise if they weren't as rude that could be helpful. The tech for the scan wasn't the nicest either but she got what I needed done. I highly recommend anyone who doesn't have to go here find some other facility to use. read more

I'm a Family Physician. My patient needed imaging RECOMMENDED by a RADIOLOGIST. This imaging center DEMANDS your Prior Authorization, required for their payment, be done by your Family Physician which we already have a shortage. Imaging centers are the facility reaping the enormous profit from the study, not the Physician. The Imaging Center gets paid $$$ from Insurance and refuses to do the work to get paid. Appomattox Imaging forces your Family Physician to STOP Practicing Medicine to get them paid. The patient offered to pay cash and they REFUSED to provide the care I ordered. I verified Appomattox Imaging had my order with the employee. Shame on this imaging center and all other greedy Corporate Healthcare Centers like them. read more

Went as a walk in today for an xray and was met by the most rudest woman. She informed me that my 10 yr. old son could not wait in the lobby nor in the car outside. When I questioned what I was supposed to do with him and that I had driven about an hour to get there, she got worst and said "I just work here and I was about to ask before you keep blowing up." I never even raised my voice at her. No one like that should be in a public service position to help others! read more

Just wanted to say - as far as getting an appt. for another Imaging location, I had a very good lady help me with my appt. - Monica. I was going to Chesterfield Imaging. She was very helpful and patient and not rushed. Of course it was 9am, early in the work day. Hopefully, all will work out when I go to the Chesterfield location. read more

One apple can spoil a bunch. Busted my butt getting there on time, ran into road work after being behind a trash trucks route. This was a follow-up from a mammogram I had a month before, they seen something. I waited anxiously for almost two months, my appointment was at 10am and I signed in at 10:03am. I remember this because the receptionist kept saying it, like I didn't know already. I sat down and waited for my name to be called, twenty minutes later the tall, skinny African-American lady with the attitude called for me. She says that I arrived to late and couldn't be seen that day, I explained the obstacles that were in the way. She looked down on me and under her breath she said "yeah right" I'm getting upset thinking I have too wait another two months, I asked her to make the appointment and her response was "you've waisted enough of my time already, go home and call" let me get back to the patient's that did arrive on time. She was undoubtedly the rudest receptionist ever. read more

BEWARE! This place will bill you the same as going to the EMERGENCY ROOM! Hours on the phone and they state this is correct... so just to be clear. You come here for a simple xray thinking your bill will be less.. WRONG. going to the ER will be the same price and you get your results right away! FRAUDS read more

If you are disabled or unable to get into the MRI/CT table then you will be denied any services. The radiology technician was very blunt and disrespectful stating that it's not her job to help in these circumstances and you need to bring your own lift to get on the table. Very unprofessional. read more

I have been here twice in the past two weeks for X-rays and an ultrasound. Both times, since you have to sit in waiting room for so long, I was able to observe. The women at front desk are sooooo rude. If you go up to ask them a question, as I witnessed, they are snarky with their answers and when you turn to walk away they roll their eyes and laugh. One time, they went into back office and were talking about a woman so loud I could hear them. I will never come back here, there is no sense in having such rude people. If they don't like their jobs and can't be nice to people they need to quit! If this were my business, I'd have cameras and sound and they would be fired. Kathy Note I only checked one star because I had to in order to submit my review. read more

After years of going here, this will be my last visit. I called ahead to find out if I needed an appointment for an X-ray. The woman clearly told me Monday through Friday from 9am -5:30pm I can just walk in. I showed up around 1pm. As I was walking in the door there seemed to be a crowd, and a gentleman was coming out sarcastically saying, "Good Luck". I waited in line then signed in and was called to the desk. The young lady's mask kept dipping down below her nose and she was coughing and sniffling. I went and sat in the waiting room where all of the chairs were right next to each other! I took a picture. No six foot rule here. The staff was loud and even another patient commented to me that there was "No privacy" there, and that it was like they never had heard of Hippa Laws. After waiting an hour, and the waiting room now empty, I heard one of the staff members say that the Xray techs had gone to lunch! So they let people come in KNOWING that no one will be there to work during their lunch hour? Very unprofessional, and several staff members not wearing masks properly. To top this off...At 5:29 I get an email from my doctor with the final X-ray report on my left and right feet. They were duplicated!!!! Someone Entered the Left foot info into both reports! So no report on my right foot! Disgusted. Will go to John Randolph from now on. read more

Requires patients to wear mask, but receptionist/intake person wears mask below nose and mouth because she "has to breathe."

My doctor scheduled and test for me at this center. they were to call me to schedule my visit, They never called after a week and a half. I tried to call them, but had to leave a message. They didn't return my call. I called back to set the appointment during business hours and the recording said that the person wasn't available. I called back and pushed the "0" button on my phone. Someone answered. I explained why I was calling and they told my to wait just a minute. I stayed on the phone for 15 minutes while I read the reviews that patients had left. I apparently am not alone with my problems with this organization. read more

I am not sure what the staffs issue is, but zero bedside manor. The employee my wife dealt with this morning was extremely short and rude. Zero communication and explanation of what my wife needed to do. I am currently deployed to Iraq, otherwise I would have gone with my wife and taken her somewhere else. read more

I needed to get a CT scan done and this was the closest place to get it done. The folks at my Drs office wanted to send me across town, and I said there is got to be some place closer. And they came up with this place. Well when I got there it wasn't hard to find as I have been by it many times but never payed any attention to the place. Walked in and signed in then grabbed a seat. A couple of minutes later they called me to the desk to fill out some info, then told me it would be about ten minutes before they took me back. When called back to get the CT scan was rather quick and I was done in less then five minutes. Everyone there knew what their job was and did it well. So if I'm in need of any more types of imaging done I will be requesting to go here as it is close to home and they are fast git you in out. read more

I have been going here for quite awhile. I have never had a bad experience yet and don't expect to. No one has ever been rude. They are just doing their job. My appointments have always been on time and even when I was a walk-in, it wasn't that long a wait. Remember you get what you give. read more

Completely annoyed with them. I am a new patient who needed to get an ultrasound done on my thyroid, I arrive on time only for the to ask me if I have anyone to watch my 3yr old son and I explain to them no I do not and no I can't call anyone to come sit with him. Well they then proceed to tell me that I'll need to reschedule for when I have someone who can sit with him. Okay whatever my point is it's just an ultrasound not sure what my 3 yr old whose buckled into a stroller playing on a tablet is gonna hurt but they should have told me this when I scheduled my appointment so that I didn't waste my time or gas driving 30 minutes for nothing. read more

Scheduled a 8am mammogram, actually 8:30a but you need to be there 30 min before. Received a call at 7:30 am in day of appt to be informed their tech had called out and no one was there to do imaging. I called back to reschedule and the after being on hold for an extended period, the recording said I could leave my number for call back, which never happened. A week later I call AGAIN, spoke to someone that is lacking in common sense that gave me too much info before we even schedule an appt and then ask for ALLLLL my insurance info AGAIN and wouldn't make the appt. Said she'll wait until I get my info. I declined services and made an easier appt with Bon Secours. read more

They are awful... nasty attitudes and a very rude receptionist. Made us wait 20 minutes and then told us they weren't gonna X-ray us... very unprofessional read more

Quite possibly the rudest front desk person imaginable. I needed a copy of my records. Was asked if I had called ahead, I had not. The clerk walked away, said nothing, and left me standing there for 8 minutes. Finally, after continuously seeing me stand their another clerk/admin asked what I needed. From the back of the room, "she needs records" then she laughed. read more

Where do I start?? I was told to arrive 30 minutes earlier than my appointment. Apparently it takes 30 minutes to fill out 5 minutes worth of paper work. So I get there 30 minutes early and then wait another 45 minutes after my appointment. So I was there a total of an hour and 15 minutes before I was even seen! When I asked about it I was told that they squeezed somebody in before my appointment. Um okay, so call me and tell me I don't need to be there so early! The office staff were rude as hell as well as loud and unprofessional. Trust me, nobody in the waiting room 45 minutes late for their appointment wants to hear about where you buy your Thai food from. I gave it two stars only because the lady who did my ultrasound was really nice. The rest of the place is total shit. read more

I got an MRI done, only waited 10 min. had to reschedule me on a Sat because of snow days. They were nice, coffee was fresh and hot. Copay was like a Hospital, but the over all bill was much less. Thank's all Guys, Arlene read more

Drove over an hour for a 6 PM appointment which had been made the previous week only to be told that there was nothing scheduled in my name. They said I must have been mistaken about making the appt!! Fortunately, I had noted the name of the person to whom I had spoken. Rose - the person making the appt had assured me that I would be well taken care of, that they would contact my insurance company for approval, and to bring the order from my physician (which I did). Well, evidently Rose was all talk and no action - nothing had been done. Although there was no one else in the waiting room and no one came in while I was there (about 15 minutes), I was turned away and told I would have to "re-schedule." Fat chance. I will never go back there. read more

I am warning you, go somewhere else!! You will wait forever and the staff is not helpful at all. They are too busy talking to each other about how their weekends went. First off my appointment was at 9:30 with a 9 arrive time. I was told at arrival the xray tech wouldnt be there until 10 so come back then which i did and was taken right back. Of course by taken right back it means going to another waiting room where i set for another hour while the office manager tried to figure out where the tech was. I was taken right away when she arrived at 11am (two hours after my intial arrival). After the xray was taken i was told to pick up my disk in the lobby, when i went to get it one receptionist told me it would take "a few minutes". When i went back in "a few minutes" i was told by another recept, "oh no that stuff takes at least 10 minutes". After waiting an additional 10 minutes and listening to them talk about how drunk they got at some cookout that weekend, i walked back up to see if they could just mail to which she replied we dont do that here. She finally got up off her butt and walked back there to look and low and behold there was my disc. NO TELLING HOW LONG IT HAD BEEN SETTING THERE , but of course she tried to play it off like it was just sit down but please after the day i had there i highly doubt that. I will never again go to that place!! Not to mention they overcharge to compared to some other places anyways. read more
