Our daughter began attending Cornerstone Montessori when she was three and has been there for two…read moreyears. She has had a wonderful learning experience there and I credit her teachers for the warm and caring environment in which all the students are learning. The children learn everything from personal responsibility and life skills to learning how to read and write, developing a strong foundation in math skills, and an understanding of the world around us through social studies, geography, and science. The students enjoy weekly lessons in Spanish, cooking, gym, art, music, and more. The students also experience at least two field trips during the school year, playing in the snow (as long as they bring appropriate snow gear), Bike Day at the end of each month, a few celebrations, such as International Day where families come in and teach the students about their heritage. CMS encourages family involvement, whether it's participating in special events or coming in to teach a lesson. Families may be as involved as they choose to be and aren't pressured to do more than they can give. Cornerstone Montessori also offers before- and after-school care for working parents like us and three 2-week summer sessions. The summer sessions are great for parents who would like to check out the school and see if it is right for their child as well as for students who are already enrolled to maintain the skills they have developed during the school year and continue on their learning path. The summer sessions are more relaxed and additional fun activities are scheduled. We are so pleased with our experience at Cornerstone Montessori, and we are sure you will be, too. Come check it out!

I have had my son attending Kids Point since he was around 10 months old and he just turned 2 now…read more They have been amazing with him. He loves going there and has learned so much. There are daily updates and photographs so I can see what he does during the day. They do arts and crafts, librarian visits, parties, serve actual hot food, and have even started potty training him. Small and personalized so the teachers know and care about all the kids. I would completely recommend them for anyone who needs childcare.

My 1.5 year old attended Kids Point for about 5 weeks before we suddenly and unexpectedly moved…read morefrom the city. It was his first daycare, so the first days were tough with separation anxiety. But, by the end of the first week, he was happily reaching for his favorite teacher at morning drop-off :) The small school size allows for children to receive individualized attention, and the instructors were able to welcome my shy boy and draw him out so that daycare was something he looked forward to! Every instructor I met seemed to really enjoy working there and caring for the kids, which soothed a lot of my parental guilt (haha) and left me feeling confident that he was in good hands. Highly recommend!

Before committing to CHM in 2023, we visited several preschools in the area. I was honestly not…read moresatisfied with any of the schools I toured, until I visited CHM. Immediately I knew this was a special place for my son. And our experience here with school and summer camp have far surpassed what we had hoped for. Their school motto of "grow confidently"- really illustrates the transformation my son went through from a 2.5 year old toddler to a 5 year old boy who is confident and loves to learn now. The teachers are outstanding- they really love kids and love teaching kids to embrace and enjoy learning. The administrative staff ( Ms. Kerri & Ms. Janine) are amazing and make you feel at ease and that we were part of their family . We will forever love and be a huge advocate for this school !!

If I could post 0 stars, I would…read more If you love your child, do not send them to this 'school'. We sent our child here and had to take her out after half a year. There were multiple incidents of bullying and/or kids just misbehaving and the school not handling those situations properly. I had no false hope that every kid would act like an angel 100% of the time and believe I was realistic in hoping that if and when a child would not behave well, the teachers would know how to handle it- boy, was I wrong! My daughter was scratched, pushed, hit, had her leg stood on by a boy (to which the teacher just told the other kid not to do it bc my daughter didn't like it.... Because so many people would) The straw that broke the camels back was: my husband arrived to pick up my daughter and noticed a bump/bruise on her head. He asked the 3 teachers at the door what happened. They all said they didn't know. Our daughter told us that a boy (who had done other things to her in the past and sounded to be an overall behavioral issue), hit her in the head with a stick on the playground. I asked if a teacher saw. She said no. She said she told a teacher and that teacher put the kid in timeout. Ok, fine. BUT, she happened to be one of the teachers at the door that said she didn't know what happened to my daughter.... In all the time my daughter went yo the school, we felt they operated in the dark. We never received an email about any incidents and when we brought it to her teachers attention, he said he would look into it and get back to me. Never did. After this last incident, they also said they were going to investigate and interview the teachers and get back to me with their findings. They never did. It became very obvious to me that this school was all about collecting $$, but not providing even the basic service of safety, not to mention an education. I am not an unreasonable individual, and if they had just communicated when things happened and told me how they remedied it, I would have been ok. Send your child elsewhere..... there are plenty of good schools out there. This is not one of them.

I've never had either boy complain about the food, and I love that they serve lunch and snacks. The summer of fun program was a blast with the water play, and all of the activities they had planned. Their varied personalities and proximity of age can be a challenge to my wife and I, so I am thrilled that they all have loved their teachers as they have gone threw the program from infant to now school age. I have to say, we appreciated the detailed reports we got back from the teachers when they were young, and they entered kindergarten evaluations much more prepared than other children, and continue to excel in school today. The after-school care is great for us, and allows them time to finish their homework and let off some steam outside before coming home. They are also very accommodating of my hectic and ever changing schedule for dropping off and picking up. The building is always clean, and the teachers take pride in decorating their rooms with the latest artwork and projects. There is usually fresh fruit in the hall for the kids to take on the way out, and my kids seem more eager to eat theirs than the fruit we have at home!
