The price for a refrigerator ice maker replacement was much cheaper than on other sites, which should have been a red flag. After being installed for less than 2 years, I recently noticed silver specs in some of the ice cubes. I threw them out as I found them, hoping whatever the issue might be would resolve itself. It continued, so I googled the issue and found it was most likely pieces of Teflon from the ice maker's tray sticking to the cubes. I had a new ice maker installed this week (OEM this time, despite the higher cost), and when the old one was removed, I saw that MOST of the Teflon was gone from the tray. While my new ice maker's tray is made of actual Teflon, this one purchased from appliancezone.net was clearly just Teflon coating. How long this has been happening and how much of the paint I've inadvertently ingested in the last 2 years I can't say, but you can see from the pic how much of the Teflon paint (darker gray/silver specks on the tray) came off; the entire tray was that dark color upon receipt/installation. Also, though it was advertised as a proper replacement part, it didn't fit correctly with the fridge's water inlet hose, causing some water to leak with each fill, spilling into the dispensed ice bucket to form unusable masses of ice I had to throw out constantly. Easy to find parts for nearly any home appliance or system. 2. Amazing prices -- nearly 25-40% of the local hardware prices or direct from factory. (OEM, varies) 3. Super fast online help. Within 1-3 minutes, my questions were completely answered. 4. For 4 parts that I needed for my oven, dishwasher, and fridge...I had them in days for a reasonable $6.95 delivery fee. The downside is: when I needed to return a part (was advised slightly incorrectly and given the wrong part)...I ultimately had to wait 55 days for the credit back to my card. I would describe it as "slip thru the cracks", or "drop the ball", or "forgotten". In the end, all was well...but I spent so little time on the front-end of the ordering, and way too much time spent on back-end side of the transaction. It came used (even had return authorization in the box from previous customer which I scanned and sent them). It has terrible creases and would not seal. I ordered a heater assembly for my LG dryer. Took about 10 days but finally got there. When it arrived there were baby birds in my dryer vent. Not wanting to kill the babies I held off on installing the part. After about 2 weeks they were gone so I took apart the dryer to repair it. I opened the box to install the heating element and found it to be broken. Immediately sent an E-Mail to ApplianceZone.net explaining receiving a broken part. and requested either a refund or a replacement part. This was customer service agent Paula Allen's reply to me. In the event that your order has arrived with damaged, incorrect, or missing pieces please notify customer service within (3) days of receipt or of the projected arrival date. If we do not notate your account of the issue within (3) days we cannot guarantee that we will be able to offer you a replacement order. USPS DAMAGES If your order has been damaged in shipment by USPS (United States Postal Service) USPS requires you (the addressee) contact/take the damaged item and packaging to your local post office to submit a claim for refund. They will have to print a PS-2856 form, to file a 'Damage Report of Insured Article and Contents'. Once printed the PS-2856 form will need completed and mailed/faxed to the St. Louis, MO post office for review. Once the claim has been approved USPS will issue a check to cover the damaged order. A few months ago I purchased a computer board from appliance zone. The item was marked as "New" on the website. Upon arrival the item was clearly marked "reconditioned" and the item did not work. I contacted appliance zone. While I was communicating with them about the item marked as "New" they changed it to "reconditioned" on the website and told me that it never was advertised as "New." Appliance Zone now told me that I would have to pay for shipping and restocking fees. After being lied to, I contacted my credit card company and they agreed that I should withdraw payment. I withdrew payment of $153 from my credit card to appliance zone and now I received a "bill" in the mail for $200.07. The letter is poorly written and ends with.... "We understand medical billing is not always simple to understand, but we can help." Clearly they just copy and pasted something they found on the internet and have no idea what they are doing. My total cost for the part was 19.70 and I emailed them and spoke to one of the owner's, Paula, who was very polite and wished me well even though I am sick. This company requires that you pay for shipping a part back to them as part of their normal policy. For me, it was not worth the hassle to pay for shipping, pay a restocking charge for the item (per their RMA return form this is a 20% cost) and so I'm out roughly 20 bucks. Also, their website is deceptive. On the bottom right, it lists 4.8 google ranking but that actually links to another URL other than appliancezone.net. 12-5-2016: Don't bother. This company has very poor customer service. I purchased a part for a furnace at the end of November, I received it a few days later and installed it a few days after that. I purchased and installed the inducer fan assembly for a furnace. The brand new assembly vibrated badly upon startup. I sent a message to Appliance Zone on Saturday the 3rd and here I am, Monday the 5th at 8:00PM and I'm no further than I was when I started my communication two days ago. I'm getting nothing but a runaround by two Customer Service Representatives who seemingly don't communicate with each other and don't seem to be too interested in helping me with my issue. I stated in my first message to Appliance Zone that I would gladly buy another part and replace the defective part and take a credit later; and that it's a furnace part in question and therefore, we needed to move quickly so my customer (who will be bringing home a newborn very soon) isn't without heat if this newly installed part fails. As of this writing, their customer service representatives are lackluster at best and seemingly unwilling to take any initiative to correct this issue. So, my quest for service and adequate response from this vender shall continue tomorrow. If the results are positive, I will gladly update this review. But until then.... 12-12-2016: We'll here I am, one week later and I still don't have my replacement part. I sent this vendor a message on the morning of 12-6-2016 stating they weren't moving fast enough and that I intended on disputing the charge for the defective part on my credit card (which is in process). I also stated I was intending on giving them a poor review on Yelp. Later that day, I received an email stating they were sending a replacement. Two days later, on 12-8-2016 I received a notice that the part has shipped. So it took them 5 days to ship my part from the time I notified them of a problem and two days to actually ship it after agreeing to do so. That was 4 days ago. They shipped the part via USPS. I'm not sure there is a slower method of shipment! Even after I told them there was a new baby coming home to the possibility of having this part fail, they still drug their feet and chose the slowest possible means to move the part. As of this writing, the new baby is at the house, the draft inducer is vibrating uncontrollably, the likelihood of it failing is eminent and I STILL don't have a replacement. These guys may be good for some parts, but my experience buying a dishwasher lower rack is about what most of the other reviewers have discussed. I called and asked about the part (Does it have wheels) and was told it did. I ordered the part and waited a couple of days without getting any shipping information. Called, and was told it was backordered, but it had come in. Got an email that the cost was going up by more than 20% due to shipping. Called back and said that my original invoice had been charged for shipping and that shipping policy was on the main page and was the $6.95 that I had already been charged on the original invoice and had paid. Agent pointed me to their full policy, which said they could charge whatever they wanted, but that I could cancel. I cancelled...... or so I thought. Item showed up with a zero balance invoice attached. 14 days later I get an *additional invoice* from PayPal for $29.23. Contacted PayPal to dispute and they told me not to bother and just cancel the invoice. 2 things here: 1) These guys are scammers. PayPal knows about them and apparently Yelp does, too as there are many complaints here. 2) Always, always use PayPal to order things like this. I message again and the response that I got was that the part was broken in transit and I would have to send pictures of the 'damaged original box, label and part'. The box was perfectly intact upon receipt but was unfortunately thrown away. Additionally, the part was not listed as refurbished, but they told me all their parts are refurbished. Highly unreputable dealer. They sent cooktop knobs that do not fit my cooktop, even though they advertise that it is the correct part for the product. When I emailed them that the item does not fit, their suggestion was to remove the metal insert ... then it will fit fine. Sure, it fit over the shaft but it was too big and wobbly--a half-ass fix. We then returned the product (we paid postage), they did not refund the original postage and still charged a restocking fee. A restocking fee for items totaling less than 6 ounces -- give me a break. And, it is still their issue because of the shoddy product! So much back and forth. Do not give your business to this dealer. I did a Google search with my range hood model number for a replacement part and it immediately linked me to Appliance Zone with what seemed to be a picture of the part. On their site I re-entered the model number and it listed the part again (on sale) which looked similar and I ordered. Unfortunately, it was the wrong size. They took no responsibility and placed the blame on me for not doing a more thorough search on their site and checking the part specifications more closely. Interestingly, they were able to provide the exact part number for the item I needed, but they don't carry it. I learned the hard way about their 20% restocking fee and you are responsible for all shipping. I have since found other businesses with better customer friendly service and policies. Doing business with these fools will only frustrate you and cost you money. There's very little likelihood that you'll receive the parts you need. I needed a hinge pin assembly for the bottom of a refrigerator door. When I couldn't locate the parts through their search engine I went into the "chat" function. A woman responded and it took a while for her to understand my needs, but in the end she gave me the part numbers and I ordered them, along with a few other minor items. When the hinge parts came I opened the plastic bags only to discover: a) The bracket the mounts to the refrigerator was the wrong bracket b) The pin that engaged to the door was the wrong component c) Neither part matched the other, so even if the wrong refrigerator was referenced, these parts would not fit together! In addition, one of the other small parts was shipped separately in a soft envelope and was crushed in shipping, and therefore useless. When I emailed these fools I was told that they had shipped the parts I had ordered. If I wanted a refund I'd have to ship the stuff back at my expense, and that there would be a restocking fee for any opened envelope. Really? They recommended and shipped items that were not only wrong, but wouldn't even work together. And they wanted me to pay the shipping charges as well as some undefined restocking fee. I know when the forces of stupidity have won, and I cannot receive anything approaching a proper refund for their mistakes. Save yourself the wasted time, money and aggravation. They charge an arm and a leg for shipping, yet they do not honor their shipping policy which states: "You should receive your products within 3 - 5 business days from the day you order them.". This is the absolute worst service I have ever received. It is a lesson to me to do my research. I ordered a part that needed to be special ordered from the manufacturer. I called them about 6 weeks after the order was placed, only to find out they do not have a way to speak to a person, so I resorted to live chat. I was told that the part was still at the manufacturer and had not been shipped yet. I was advised to wait until the 8 week deadline, and check back if the door was still not rec'd. Come to find out after 10 weeks the door had been drop shipped to my address BEFORE MY MY FIRST conversation at the 6 week mark, and then returned because Fed Ex couldn't find my street (which is on a major road). They had an incomplete address on the shipment. It has been 4 months. They have not returned the money for the part, and are refusing to reship without payment again for shipping. I have 56 emails between us and them and am still out the $530.40 they were paid for the part and shipping. This part was originally ordered in April 2015. They really don't care about you. If I had known there was no way of reaching them outside of onerous emails and live chat, I would NEVER have used this company. Do not give them your business. In between me returning it to them, cancelling the order and requesting a refund (which they agreed to do), I ordered what I needed from another company. Then weeks later, they sent the correct part. I no longer needed it and requested the refund again after having to pay my own return shipping on a part I never wanted. This began in December and I still don't have a refund as of the end of March although I returned the item to them in December. They keep telling me that I'll get the refund (7-10 days) every time I contact them but nothing. This company hires liars and thieves! Do yourself a favor and use ANYONE else! read more

They sent bad part, then have to jump though hoops to return part.. I will never buy from them. Buyer beware
