Our family has purchased nearly $10,000 worth of appliances and furniture from RC Willey. It was…read moreour favorite store for major purchases--including multiple couches, a refrigerator, and a bed. We loved the family atmosphere and customer service. Well, things have certainly changed since the company opened its Sacramento location years ago. Despite our loyalty, its corporate office chose not to waive a misleading interest charge of more than $650. In fact, its representatives refused even to speak with me, despite the manager of our local store pleading with them to do so. I won't be purchasing anything else from RC Willey. For those who do, make sure you read the fine print carefully--or you could end up paying a fortune in fees and being kicked to the curb when you ask for help.

This time I bought a trolley on wheels to be able to roll a heavy tomato plant around my patio. Plenty of parking, some near, some far. Adj: Somewhat Sketchy and Sadly Subpar…read more More cluttered and harder to navigate store than the Meadowview one, it also seems messier. But staff were helpful, for example, the staff in the paint dept and one lady in the dry wall department were extra helpful when we had question after question about some wall repair and painting project. I think they might be short staffed as it was kind of hard to find staff in any other dept besides the painting/dry wall section of the store. Like finding someone to help us in the lumber dept was pretty hard, they were all busy stocking or I saw staff walking between depts so I imagine they have to cover multiple depts. It seems this store's clientele is more contractors and trades people so maybe they don't need to ask for help much, they know exactly what they're looking for and where to find it and how many of this or that they would need vs the average homeowner doing home improvements and repairs who might not be as familiar with what they need and how much they would need. And this may also explain why it seems they have more bulk building construction, contractor equipment/supplies and general landscape items vs residential products. When it was time, the check out was quick, but parking lot is often packed and sometimes it's hard to find a spot or even to find my car afterwards, their parking lot just isn't very logically laid out and have some sections that you have to go around to get to a certain row of cars especially when they put out their seasonal items on their sidewalk and even using part of the parking lot and then fence off that area with chainlink fence and basically block off access to that row of cars. Also I've seen police come into this parking lot at night with lights on or even sirens blaring when I've driven past, so I personally wouldn't come to this HD after dark.

I decided to replace the top with a corrugated top. This place is just about 5 blocks away. Really convenient. I had to go back several times to get the right materials to fix the carport. They had a lot of the items I needed but the top ridge cap wasn't in stock and i had to order it online and have it shipped to the store. It delayed my project by a week which kind of sucked. Plus the item wasn't the same color as the rest of the roof. It was a clear gray and the rest of the roof wasn't clear at all. When the cap came it wasn't that wide either. I got it to work but I wish it had been wider. All the other materials were at the store which I was happy with. I just noticed that the prices are so inflated than previous years. Everything is more money. The staff here are really friendly and help you out when you need it. The cashier were great.
