The washer made a loud and jarring "boom" sound when it began its cycle, and several times throughout the washing cycle. Harper's came out to look at it twice, and said that there was nothing wrong with it - perhaps it was a plumbing issue (though the previous washer had not made this sound). We had a plumber check it out and it was not a plumbing issue. We have listened to the very loud booms from the machine (which reverberate throughout the house) for 2 years until it stopped working last week. Our repairman said it needed a new control board, which he installed. This still did not fix the problem. His finding was that the "boom" sound was a defective drive motor, which was not detected by Harper's on 2 occasions. When I went to Harper's today to tell them about the situation they took no responsibility, telling me their repair person had looked at the machine and not found anything wrong with it, and unfortunately the warranty was up. I find this very frustrating, as there was clearly something wrong with the machine from the beginning, and their lack of getting to the root of the problem caused it to break after only two years. Yes, technically it is no longer their problem, but they could have done way better on this. Extremely disappointing.

After initiating a purchase of a dishwasher at another place that I won't name here and having some issues my boyfriend put me in the car and drove me out to Rockville to hit the ABW outlet. I was resistant but boy am I glad he did. We got there kinda late but Tim, who we were lucky enough to have as our sales contact, took allllll of the time we needed to help us out that night. He looked up several different gas range models one of which I really fell in love with that night. We completed our purchase the next day and the whole process was a dream. I'm huge on communication when I'm spending thousands of dollars and Tim and the ABW team we're on top of it. Everything was well communicated, from the initial site visit to the final installation. The tech who did our gas range installation was kind enough to give us some advice should the dishwasher I'd just procured from their competitors that was sitting in my living room uninstalled still be an issue after my second installation appointment. I almost wanted to cancel my order with their competitors and just buy everything through them!! We will be continuing to upgrade our kitchen as we complete our remodel and will be working with Tim and ABW the whole way. Excellent pricing and professionalism the whole way around. There really is a better way to buy appliances, and these guys are it.

Know your right to to refuse appliances that do NOT work (do not let them install it, you accept a broken/non-working product and then send a tech to fix it). And, prepare to spend a LOT of time dealing with them if there are any hassles. My washer went out, and I needed a replacement urgently. I came into their showroom and spoke with one of their sales team. He strongly pushed me toward two options, an Electrolux 517 or an Electrolux 617 both for the same price. I, of course, chose the 617 (the Electrolux 617 online gets great reviews, the 517 not quite as much). I was told by the sales guy that they'd be delivered on the following Tuesday, early Wednesday at the absolute latest. I paid for it, and waited to hear from the delivery people. The next day, I was told that the delivery would be on Friday, not Tuesday (3 days later). Ugh. The clothes are piling up. So, the delivery day rolls around, and they show up to deliver the unit. When it's installed, it 100% does not work. It lights up, but doesn't take water, and the door locks and won't open. They tell me to hang out and wait for the service team to come and look at the unit. I say that's not acceptable. I call the sales person, and while I'm talking with them, the service people leave, leaving the unit behind. So, in talking with folks (sales and service are "different divisions" and seem to use that as an excuse for why things can't get done), I finally get them to understand that I'm not going to wait several days for a service tech to come out and repair a BRAND NEW unit. They agree to pick it up and work on some options for me. After several hours, I reach back out to them to see what they plan to do. Note that they told me if we get a solution today, it could be delivered tomorrow. IF not, then it will be 5 days before they can deliver it. So, obviously, it's URGENT that I get something selected. They close at 6pm. At 5pm I call, and they offer me the "lower version" of the same product ("517") for the same price as I paid for the 617. Or, they said I could get the 627 (the newer unit) for $100 more, as they didn't have any more of the 617. After a LOT of hassle, they said they could do the 627 for the same price as the 617 they sold me. BUT, they have to verify the warranty (which makes no sense to me. If it's a new unit, why do they need to verify the warranty?). The next day, they finally delivered a working dishwasher. But, there was tooo much hassle and headache. Appliances a better way? Hrm... As a last note, my next door neighbor's washer went out about 2 weeks ago as well. They purchased from this same place. Their first unit was DOA as well. So, be SUPER careful. Make sure you get a solid test wash, and that things are working.

We knew the specific model we wanted and it wasn't one they carried in their warehouse. They said it would take a week to get (it took less). They also said it would take up to a week to schedule their installer (they use a 3rd party). So they call me on a Friday before the order ship week is up and say they have them in the warehouse and could I take installation the following Monday late morning or early afternoon. Indeed I could. The installer calls mid-morning to confirm the installation time. They come on time an perform a professional install with all old units removed and new units installed without a single scratch or ding (my install was underneath a countertop with slots for a washer and dryer as is usually done for a dishwasher). Overall smooth and no complaints.

Research showed that recent customer experiences with DAD's were good so I took a chance with them. Glad I did. Among their large selection of brands and appliances they had the very one I wanted on hand. The cost was acceptable. I set up delivery and installation and even before I could drive home their 3rd party installer was on the phone to arrange an appointment. It was only three days later they came and installed it. Installer was great, arriving spot on time at the beginning of the two hour window, doing a quick, through and tidy job of it. All-in-all it was a quick, painless experience. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

ADU Annapolis has their own install crew, they dont use subcontractors (one of the reasons I went with them) and their experience was evident from the moment they began working until they were finished. I had kept the original sample and when I got the actual floor I laid out a few pieces to check the color....seemed okay. After the floor was installed I noticed raised bumps on the entire floor and it looked dirty. The owner came out and tested the floor and said it was probably grout haze and suggested a cleaner. The cleaner didn't change the bumps or haze. Over the next 3 months we have been back and forth with the owner a few times, a rep even came by and said she couldn't see a problem despite the difference from the original sample to what I received that I showed her. She claimed she saw not problem. I contacted the owner via text and explained the experience and was never answered. I had suggested that the tile was possibly defective in my note. I was aware there might be a health problem in his family so I let a month go by and still never heard back. I called again this week and said I just wanted to find a solution even if it was other tile cleaners to try. He would never address/admit or take responsibility for the tile looking defective. Despite knowing I have an example of original sample and what was delivered. I think it is not good business to not stand by your product. I have since had another local company look at the sample and installed floor and they agree the tile is defective but Atlas has just dismissed the whole thing. Now I have a floor that is not what I purchased and was told it was not their problem. The other issue with the company is you do not stick with the same sales person through the selling process. This results in one person not taking responsibility for your purchase. I experienced just a bunch of people pointing fingers at each other and not taking responsibility for the sale to their customer. I would never recommend this company.

Mike of Creative Sheds was responsive throughout the process, revising the quote as I changed size, style, and features. More importantly, when Leroy came out for a site inspection, our discussion convinced me that with a bit of path clearance (scrub tree removal) they could pre-assemble and deliver the shed. Which cut about 25% off the price. The shed was delivered yesterday, about a month after finalizing the deal. The delivery man (Keith) was quite expert at moving (with a "shed mule") the 10' x 12' shed the 200 feet from street to shed location. He was creative steering around tree branches (minimizing trimming). Best of all, he avoided a grape vine that was in the pathway. The shed is solidly built, using good SPF framing and solid plywood. Nice touches include magnetic door holds (keep door from closing in the wind), metal plate on front door ledge, and thermal barrier on roof underside. Highly recommended!
