The repair was completed in early September, but within three weeks the dishwasher was still leaking at the final walk‑through. They were contacted again on September 16 under their labor warranty. GH Appliance Repair came out on September 17 and claimed the leak was fixed. After closing on September 18, I inspected the appliance myself and found the dishwasher was still leaking exactly as before. I reached out once more on September 24 to have the issue corrected under their labor warranty. At that point, the company told me that because I was now the "new owner," they would not honor the warranty--even though the original repair was never successful. The dishwasher was never fixed, the issue persisted through multiple visits, and the company refused to stand behind their own work. I cannot recommend GH Appliance Repair based on this experience.

Some sediment seen on the filter (input from the City of Chesapeake), but problem could also have been failure of the aged solenoid to open pump valve completely. Full dishwasher cycle running now. I had them service a built in microwave that suddenly stopped working. I tried to DIY it and…read morereplace the fuse myself but it was still broken. I brought the microwave to them to save the service fee but good to know it's an option if I need it. Once they inspected it, they called back a day or so later and gave me an estimate. Said replacing one part was definitely needed but possibly an additional part as well but wouldn't know for sure till they completed the first repair. It took about a week for the part to come in and two days or so to do the repair. Being cynical, I assumed the more expensive repair would be needed. Lo and behold, they said the second repair wasn't necessary! The honesty was refreshing and definitely earned my business going forward for future appliance repairs. It does take a little longer since they seem to have to order parts for most repairs(?). If you don't need it right away and can bring it to them, I doubt you will find a better price.

They never charged labor, or add trip charge. Also B&R is local. They made a mistake. Unfortunately it was the nuclear problem of a board going out on just a 5 year machine. Both repair techs were super nice too! However, they did not wear nothing over shoes and tracked inside. Would I trust B&R? 100%. Their trip charge is $30, or so less than competitors. Hourly labor also less. 3.5 rounding down with delay and ultimately the need to purchase a new machine elsewhere.

Acted like they didn't know how to handle the situation. Stated they needed to talk to someone in their organization and someone would call us back. We never heard from anyone. No one ever called us back. So we called them again and got the same story. Again, no one ever called us back. We were so frustrated by the situation, we called Sub-Zero directly. Sub-Zero told us East Coast Appliance Builder Direct is NOT an authorized service provider for Sub-Zero, and the closest one to Virginia Beach was 100 miles away! The problem had nothing to do with the mechanical workings of the refrigerator, it was just the handle. Sub-Zero was great, they sent us a video on how to remove the panel and fix the problem. Hopefully, in the future we will never need to have service done on our refrigerator, because their is no one locally to service it. Sub-Zero makes a great product but before you purchase one, please understand that no local company is authorized to service it.

Maksim initially scheduled with me for Monday but ended up calling later in the afternoon to say he could squeeze me in today. So wonderful to not be without my fridge all weekend! He diagnosed the problem immediately, remedied it quickly, and charged us fairly. He could have sold us a new compressor and we wouldn't have known the difference, but instead he simply cleaned it for a fraction of the cost.
