Beyond this, So dismissive, had to pull each basic detail. So you buy or take exchanges? Valid question for a USED appliance warehouse!! Do you take deposits? (Im looking for an older model) She tells me there's layaway with 1/2 down. Is there a time limit? "No, we always have electric dryers". Waves hand Ike whatever, walks away... wandering around, wondering what warranty may come with each, some labeled "used" others "NOB", I assume to be New Outside Box? I have used their Service Center for repairs on both my washer and my refrigerator. Ryan came both times - he was great! Very knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose my problem with my washer just by me verbally telling him what was happening with it, before he even saw it. He fixed it and it's been working perfectly ever since!! When I called for my fridge he diagnosed my problem in just a few minutes. He said he's been in the business for like 20 years, he really knows his stuff! I have never dealt with such rude and incompetent people in my life!! We had a gas leak from our oven. We called the gas company and they came and disconnected the gas from the oven and said there was an issue in the back of the over near where it connects to the gas line. SOOOO, I called Appliance Warehouse to come out and look at it and get it fixed. A young man with absolutely ZERO social skills showed up after 1 week and said the leak was coming from behind one of the knobs. I explained that the seemingly very knowledgeable guy from the gas company said it was coming from the back. I was ignored and told he needed to order a part. He came a week later and I was told that he needed to order more parts. Meanwhile, our stove was in the middle of the kitchen floor all torn apart. Several weeks go by and I hear nothing. I call and am told that he is on vacation but the part would be in the last weekend of August. I waited a few days for someone to contact me and when that didn't happen, I called them. A very rude lady answered the phone, already sounding annoyed and stated "I am not in front of a computer" very rudely. I said "well, would you get in front of one" when she then sent me to a voice mail box where I left my whole story, name and number. I waited another week and called again and explained my whole story when another very rude lady says very angrily "what part did you order?" I explained I did not order a part but a young gentlemen had and he said he would be back a week later with the parts he needed and now it's been over a month. Again, sent to a voicemail. Called back a few days later and a seemingly nice lady answered this time and said she couldn't find my name in their system yet somehow seemed to know that the woman in charge of my account was on vacation for the day. lol. She said she would meet with the lady and the repair man the very next day first thing and would call me in the morning. It is now September 25th and still no word. I finally decided to just buy a new stove, but certainly NOT FROM APPLIANCE WAREHOUSE. I would not recommend these rude and uneducated repair people to my WORST enemy. I am not sure why they have such an attitude and why they can't fix appliances or at the VERY least return phone calls, especially after they tore apart a stove and left it in the middle of someone's kitchen!! I consider myself a nice guy who is easy to get along with. I have never written a bad Yelp review in my life. I have worked with the public most of my life so I understand that sometimes you can become frustrated, but you never take that out on the client. And I was very kind to them every time I called. For the love of God just don't. I should have looked at the reviews before I bought a washer from them. It stopped working within the first 9 months, so it was still covered under warranty. They replaced it with another piece of garbage and within 6 months the replacement went out. GE came out and verified that it needs to be replaced. The "lovely" manager Karen hung up in me twice and refused to come pick up the machine. I y ven want a refund, just for them to come get it so I don't have to pay to dispose of it. I was in need of a gas dryer to replace the one we had. I looked at the big box stores and a few other stores in the south hills and the box stores did not have any on hand that I could take home that day. The other three smaller stores said I was looking at two weeks for the dryer. I then went to Yelp and looked for gas clothe dryers it has Appliance WAREHOUSE ON THE SOUTHSIDE which was great because I grew up on the South side. Their selection we great they had used dryers, new dryers and scratch and dent dryers. I purchased a scratch and dent model and you could not locate the scratch if it was not pointed out. The price was almost two hundred and thirty dollars less then a new one. And the man that helped load the dryer into my truck took great car as to not scratch my truck or damage the dryer. This is the absolute best worst company I have ever done business with. I requested online to rent a washer and dryer. It was delayed well over a month and a half. They claimed they "stopped by" two days but never called and never went to the leasing office. I spoke to well over 8 different customer service reps who did absolutely nothing and lied about any communication to the drivers. Every worker had a different excuse. I DO NOT recommend. Appliance Warehouse is a great place to buy quality, used appliances. I've been a customer for many years. Recently I had to get a fridge for a rental unit. My schedule prevented me from visiting the showroom and just needed a basic, apartment sized fridge so I called to see what they had in stock and order over the phone. The woman answering the phone would not let me talk to anyone about getting a fridge and said that this is not how they do it and hung up on me. So--I called another appliance place and got my fridge there. Fast forward to last week and this time I needed a basic model black or stainless stove. The place I bought the fridge from didn't have any in either color so I decided to give Used Appliance Warehouse another try. The same unpleasant person answered the phone and this time, I asked to speak to the sales dept. I explained to the salesperson what I wanted. He was reticent about selling sight unseen but I told him I was a loyal customer and never had any issues with purchases in the past. He had exactly what I needed and we set up a delivery a few days later. They give you a 4 hour delivery window, and the delivery guy called when they were about 20 minutes away. The delivery and install guys were fantastic, moved the stove down a very narrow walkway and hooked it up w/ no issues. And the stove was exactly as described and in very good condition. The only reason I am deducting a star is that the woman answering the phone is very, very unpleasant. It gives an extremely bad first impression. Second, there was a 10% off Yelp coupon and the store would not honor it. The salesperson did give me $10 off, which I appreciated but why advertise with Yelp and offer a coupon if you aren't going to honor it? I'd like to get the rest of the advertised discount, but am not betting on it. read more

The worst mistake I ever made was going to this place. Went here to get a washing machine after my old machine died. Salesperson was so friendly and accomodating I decided to purchase a machine which was delivered to my home 3 days later. After the delivery guys installed the machine I anxiously washed a load of clothes - I realized only hot water was going into the washer. OK? What's going on. I then tried to drain the basket, no luck. After 5 times of trying to drain I closed the lid and hoped no clothes would be ruined with the hot water. After 1 hour and 47 minutes (yes, you read that correctly) the load was done. Per online research it was suggested this can happen when the hoses are reversed. Yep - hot water hose hooked up was hooked up to the cold water and vice versa. I then noticed clothes smell heavily of detergent, this is odd. Clothes did not rinse. So I had to unload the clothes, rinse them out by hand, wring out, and put in the dryer for 3 hours. Unfortunately the hoses were attached so tightly to the pipe I could not do the reversal myself. It was still puzzling me also the fact the the clothes were not rinsed in the washer. Called the delivery guy informed him of the problem, he said he would come back the next day to fix. Next day, no show, no call. At 2 PM I call him, says he can't come. I called the office regarding the hoses and rinsing issue. Told a repairman would be there the next day. So off to the laundromat I go ($20). Repairman come the next day. Reversed the hoses. I then inform him that I ran an empty load that morning. The machine is not agitating. So he recalibrates the machine. The machine seems to be working on every cycle. He leaves. I prepare another load of clothes for laundering. What a minute?!?! Clothes not agitating. The machine works perfectly until clothes are added. Pull the wet clothes out, back to the laundromat ($10). Called the office, again. This "re-conditioned" machine is a lemon. I was offered an exchange. I've had this machine 3 days and have made 2 trips to the laundromat. I was told I could do an exchange for another washer of equal value. Due to work I cannot get back over there for 2 days. in the meantime, 1 more trip to the laundromat ($20). Get over the AW - the salesperson who assisted me the first time was there. I explain the situation - his response "who waited on you?". I told him "you did". He claims he did not remember (yeah, ok). So finally I see a machine that looks acceptable - it was $50 more than the machine i originally purchased, which I was willing to pay. After we tracked down the salesman, who seemed to have disappeared, I told him what machine I wanted. He asked what did I pay for the first machine, I told him. He then tells me "Are you sure about this machine? I would not buy it". I ask is there an issue with the machine? No response. I think he thought I was going to haggle on the price, I wasn't. My daughter then repeated my question, his response "well, I don't like GE's". The interaction was so sketchy - I want my money back. This place is shady. He agrees to refund the money. Great, however I need to wait another 3 days for this to be done. Why? He needs permission to do so. The next day, Sunday, I leave a message on the machine, explained what happened requested a call back on Monday from whomever handles refunds. On Monday I waited for a return call, no response. So I call back at 2PM - leave another message. At 3:00 I get a call - the woman who called back states she did get my message but was confused on what I wanted (???). I told her I want a refund. Says she will have the salesman call me back. He calls back - he remembers me now. He begins to tell me about the beautiful machines they just got in, I should come back and pick out another machine. I want my money back. Ignores my statement - still trying to sell me a washing machine (I had to give it to him - his salesmanship is rather impressive). However, I was beyond irritated at this point - he was really annoying me. After he realized I had no intentions of exchanging the machine, he finally gives up. States someone will call me back. The lady call back and says a refund will be issued when the machine is returned. I offer to do this, she refused. States, AW will pick the machine up, check it for damages (Are you kidding me???) then issue a refund. The next day, at 6:45 in the evening, it was picked up. The hoses again were so tightly hooked to the valves, the pipe actually turned (this is crazy). The next day she agrees to a refund - minus the delivery charge of $48. Wow, really? I have to pay to have a defective machine delivered to my house. So now I'm out $48, plus $50 in laundromat costs. I would have done better getting my old machine fixed. read more

I brought a nice supposedly brand new stainless steel stove not even a year later the oven is down. Terrible they talking about they need $60 just to come out & look at it and still have to pay for parts & whatever is wrong. I'll never go back here ever again such a waste off $450! But I know better so next I'm going to do better & go completely brand new & a forever warranty. I would NOT purchase from there ever again! I'm not even the type of person to leave a review but I feel like this will help someone else considering to make a purchase from them. First let me say I bought a refrigerator January 7 2022 for 700$. It got delivered January 13th from that day the fridge just kept collecting water on the shelves every couple of days. I called the appliance warehouse to see if I can just return The fridge and get a refund I was told by one person I had a week after purchase to return it and get a refund (which didn't make any sense b/c it was Delivered a week after purchase! So I didn't qualify for the refund. Another person told me I needed to put something in the fridge to prevent it from unthawing so I did. Long story short it been 2 months and I've cleaned puddles and puddles of water out the fridge over 20 times already smh. It's to the point where I don't even like to store food inside my 700$ fridge!! When you call to get some type of resolution with them they're very rude and unprofessional and act like your being a bother to them. I have gotten many items from this location. So I know it's a good idea get the warranty because they can't fix stuff right on the first visit. And when they come back to fix things the repair guy is a jerk. Acts like it's coming out of his pocket. And it's such an inconvenience I called four times this year just on my dryer alone. Has anyone ever seen a two tone dryer I'll take a picture and show you one. I should of gotten a different dryer after the numerous times of having mine fixed. Repair man said to me the owner will never let that happen because he's cheap. Boy was that guy right called because I normally get a call about my warranty but never got one this year. And with the holidays do you really think of such things? No so they would call and say hey warranty is up time to get another. So I would pay and be on my way and have them out another ten times to fix the same problem. Called the store to see what's going on got told that the owner is the only one there he's doing sales leasing and everything else. He couldn't call because he has 500 hundred costumers and he just can't. Every year for four years you called me and now it's a problem? And when I asked if I could continue it I was told I would have to pay all up front. Had no problem doing that. But the guy was so nasty on the phone. I said well if you fixed stuff the 1st time and did it right I wouldn't have to worry about getting one. That's when he got mad and said well now I'm not going to let you get a warranty for it and hung up on me. Then on google when I left a rating he said I had more than ample opportunity to buy the warranty. Which is a lie and that he wrote my expiration date on each call date. Lie I have one and there is no date of expiration on it. This place was good but when you don't care about your customers nor your products it starts to show. Plus have of their items are reconditioned I never once seen anything brand new in the store and it stinks when you go in there. Just do your self the favor and get a appliance from somewhere else. This place is pretty awesome. They recycle people's appliances by fixing them and selling them at reduced rates or they safely recycle them elsewhere if they are unfixable. I came in looking for replacement fridge drawers because the ones in my fridge were broken and my landlord wanted to charge me $200 for new ones(!). I looked online and could find nothing for less than that amount. After going to Construction Junction and being told they send all of their fridges to Appliance Warehouse, I tried it out. Granted, it's a little bit "rough" in the sense that it's a pretty dirty place and every employee there seems to smoke in the actual store itself, but it's worth it for the savings. I ended up spending $20 on both drawers...huge savings for me and a win for them as they probably would have had to recycle the drawers and spend money on them versus making money from them. Also, I put myself on a waiting list for a portable dishwasher which normally retail at $400 and they sell them for around $150. Pretty awesome (if it works!) read more
