Terrible customer service. They had to order part for our stove. The guy (same guy who ordered…read morepart) came to replace the part. He pulled out the stove put the part in then moved the stove back only to realize it was the wrong part (part number is on box and he ordered, he should have known it was wrong part before replacing). When he pulled out the stove the 2nd time to remove the part he did not use the sliders and now I have gouges and scratches in the floor. The manager I spoke to was not very nice and was trying to get me off the phone. He said he would look into it and call back (did not call back). The next day we get a call from the parts department saying they cannot order the part and will not do the repair. I now have to waste time fighting to get my floors repaired.

Instead of charging $180 for a 2 hr estimated repair call, he would charge $240 and he wouldn't have to do any running around to pick up the part. The night before the apt, we get a call saying the guy can't come Monday, have to reschedule for Thursday. Okay fine, shit happens. Guy shows up Thursday and there's negative attitude from the get go, apparently because we never should have ordered the part ourselves. He asks how we installed the "parts". My wife explains that there was 1 assembly, not multiple parts. Answer not good enough. He actually starts arguing with my wife IN MY HOUSE. Mr "I've fixed 600 dishwashers" doesn't know that you can get one complete sump assembly (we got ours from Regional Factory Parts & Service on Antares). By this point, my wife is completely stressed. He tells her that there's a minimum $250 charge. Okaaay, nobody told us that when we made the appointment; only that there's a $75 fee to have somebody show up and that the $75 will offset the final price if we approve the repair. So now they already have $75 of our money. We've been washing dishes by hand for 6 weeks and just want the thing fixed ...so she tells him to go ahead. Turns out the problem was that we hadn't treated the gasket ring with dishwasher soap so poor seal. Who knew? Guy reassembles in 1/2 hr and dishwasher working. So, with tax, it's just cost us $282 (incl tax) for half hour of work. So why am I giving these guys 1 star? 1 reason: shit customer experience. If I had known that there was a flat $250 fee when I first called, and given that I don't need any new parts, I would have called someone else. Comically, the manager I spoke to afterward told me it would have been more expensive if I had gone with someone that charges hourly rate. So there's appliance repair joints charging $500+ /hr? I was born at night but it wasn't last night. Add to that the unwelcome blowback from the technician and, needless to say, we will never do business with ARB again. Couple of pro tips, guys: 1) the customer is always right, 2) when the customer is wrong, see #1.

The repairman was very nice and explained what needed to be done and did it. He cleaned out the lint that had gotten into the dryer as well as cleaning up his work area. I wish I had taken his name down so I could compliment him in this review. I definitely would recommend this company. The repair cost was reasonable.
