I called Appliance Pro about my 6 yr old Whirlpool Microwave that suddenly stopped working. Jim answered the phone and asked me a few questions a to send him photos and the Model Number along with my address. He was at my place within 3 hrs and let me know when he was on his way. After taking the microwave apart and checking the breaker switch, he determined that no parts needed replaced and noted that my microwave does not include a Pause Button. We figured out that the day it broke I had opened it before the programmed time was up more than once while making a frozen dinner that needed stirring several time during the cooking process. We just moved across the country. My Samsung washing machine was squealing and "jumping" around. We called and spoke to Jim. He told us to look and see if the moving bolts were still on the back - if they were, that was most likely the problem. Sure enough it was! Washer was spitting out a fair bit of water from a release valve in the back. Was pretty sure the unit was mechanical sound and just needed some gunk cleared out. I called Jim as he was incredibly helpful with an ice maker in a crappy Samsung refrigerator (never buy) and guided me to getting a replacement (never charged me, so of course I am customer for life). He was able to swing by at the end of his day, cleaned things up and I am all set. I didn't have to buy a new washer (which consumer reports recommended given its age) or attempt it myself. Jim came within a few hours of our call; and while he wasn't able to fix our problem, I appreciated that he explained everything about why the problem wasn't worth fixing - the compressor was shot on our 12 year old refrigerator. First of all, I want to say that I am satisfied with the resolution that my repair and the incident that followed came to. The situation was less than ideal, but I think we came to a fine result. Our oven quit heating and these folks were able to come out within 2 days of me calling. I called after hours and expected to leave a message, but someone picked up and that was a pleasant surprise. When they showed up, they were professional and courteous. They diagnosed the problem and fixed the issue in less than an hour. Unfortunately a mistake was made that caused them to have to immediately come back. I initially talked to a guy on the phone who seemed nice. We set up an appointment a couple of days out and he said he would be out sometime in between 12-2. So I take off work early and am waiting for him and he never shows up. I texted him and he responded that he would call me in a few minutes. After that he never responded. I bought an Angie's List deal so I could get my refrigerator looked at. The freezer was working but the fridge was not staying cool. It's 4 years old. I was able to make an appointment within a few days which was perfect as I could schedule it during a planned day off. The owner was punctual and was able to show me the cause of the issue. It was repaired in a timely fashion. The part he needed was in his truck and within hours the temperature of the fridge was coming down to normal. Days later it's still going strong. read more

Called and scheduled an appointment to fix my refrigerator. Was given a 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. window days out and promised an advance courtesy call to let me know they were on their way. On appointment day, no advance courtesy call and no one showed up. I texted and called asking where they were and got no response. Found out later an issue arose right after I scheduled, and I can sympathize. But company knew about conflict 2 days in advance of my appointment and no excuse for not contacting me to let me know they wouldn't be coming. Our freezer was frosting over, and I called Appliance Pro, whom I used recently for ice machine repair. The owner (Jim) and his son came on a timely basis on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. They examined the situation and determined that the freezer drawer guides were worn out and in need of replacement, and he didn't have the parts. He wrote out an invoice for $494 to complete the job, and collected a $250 deposit. He insisted on a check, even though they take credit cards. They promised to finish the job by Friday, June 26, 2020. When we heard nothing by that date, we called and were told that he would call back later that day, but he never did. From that time forward, he failed to respond to multiple texts and voicemail messages over the next several days. It's now 3 weeks since they were here and having taken $250 from us for no performance. Not only does he not return phone calls and texts, but he has no mailing address of record (their invoice shows no address, and there is no address to be found on the internet). They have scammed us out of $250 and have disappeared and ghosted us. Beware this scam artist. read more

I needed a repair quickly and they scheduled me the very next day after my call. Jim was punctual, and immediately explained what the problem was and what the cost would be to repair. He did it within a few minutes. I had another appliance that coincidentally wasn't working that morning, and he checked it out for me without cost. Luckily it was just a reset fix but he pulled out the information on the machine from under the unit to explain to me where it was and the information in it if I had any future issue. I had a terrible experience I made appointment for the next morning to fix freezer window of time was 8 to 12 I called at 10:30 they informed me they cancelled by email because no technician available. Our refrigerator stopped working over the weekend and completely died on Labor Day. I called and left a message for Jim Thompson who call me back on the same day (Labor Day) and scheduled an appointment for the next morning between the hours of 12-2pm. He arrived at 11:30am and immediately began work on the refrigerator. It was unrepairable and he only charged me for the service call which was reasonable. He explained in detail about what the issue was with the refrigerator and also gave recommendations for other refrigerators when we go to buy a new one. Great personality and great customer service.
