I called to request service. After asking questions about the problem and the age and brand of the refrigerator, Alex suggested that, more than likely, I need a new fridge. I asked if he could come out and he said there would be a service call charge. I said no problem. After inspecting it and performing diagnostics tests on it, he came up with the same conclusion. It would be less expensive for me to purchase a new refrigerator rather than find the necessary parts and have them installed. He said even with the installation of new parts, I will still be dealing with an old compressor that might be leaking refrigerant and could go out at anytime. He said adding the price of a new compressor would be a lot more than buying a new refrigerator. So, I thanked him for his honest opinion and settled on the service call. Alex was excellent. We have a Liebherr side by side freezer and fridge. The freezer wouldn't hold temp and we initially called a different repair company. They looked at it and told us the motherboard was shot, that it was not fixable, and that we would need to buy another freezer. I felt like we were being jerked around and that's when I found Alex. Alex came out the next day. After diagnosing the problem, he sent the motherboard off for repair and voila, our freezer works again.
